Part 10

Waking up was hard for Kara it was Monday morning and she was excited to see her girlfriend but she felt so tired she almost didn't know what to do.

Turning her alarm off she sighs, it was 5am and she needed to shower before getting Cameron up for school and preparing his breakfast and lunch.Sighing she gets up rubbing her face looking down she see's the toy seal Lena got her and smiles slightly then a frown overtakes her. Throwing her sheets off she enters the bathroom.

After a shower Kara is staring at herself in the mirror and dark circles are under her eyes and her skin is pale and looks lifeless. Breathing out heavily she picks up her make up bag and starts to apply her make up. Once that's finished she french braids her hair and walks into her bedroom finding a tight fitting grey skirt and a light blue shirt and grey heels. Unplugging her laptop and phone she places the chargers in her bag, lifting her laptop up she groans and feels a rush of uneasiness and takes a few moments to colect herself before putting her laptop in her back and picking up her back she walks out picking her glasses up and walking out to get her son up.

"Cameron get up honey, we have a hour till we have to leave and you need to shower and eat breakfast come on." she shouts out knocking on his door as she goes. Setting her bag down she turns and starts the coffee maker, making a coffee for now and a coffee to go. Not hearing her son up she groans and walks into his room. Opening his door she see's comics laying on the ground and clothes from the day before scattered around and her son wrapped up like a burrito, laughing she leans down and pulls the covers hearing him groan "Come on buddy we got to get going. You need to shower you stink." she laughs and he just groans again "Come on, get up please and I'll make you pancakes" peaking one eye Cameron looks at his mother "With chocolate chips?" smiling "Oh yeah all the chocolate chips" he thinks for a moment before smiling "Deal" he grins kissing her on the cheek before getting up and running to the bathroom "And you are cleaning this room up too mister!" she shouts out after him before making his bed for him and heading into the kitchen.

Cameron walks into the kitchen in black jeans, black trainers and a dark blue shirt and a grey jumper and glasses framing his freckle dusted face.
"Looking good, Cam here's your breakfast. We got to leave in about 30 minutes" she smiles at her son who nods. She kisses his head as she goes to get her phone out and text her girlfriend. "Remember we're going to Lucy's tonight so please Cameron don't take ages coming out of school and be good please" he sighs and groans but the look on his mothers dace makes him nod "okay yeah" he sighs and carries on eating his breakfast. Once finished he places his plate in the dishwasher and then brushes his teeth. Once out he see's his mum by the door waiting for him. 

In the car the two just talk about random things and sing along to music and once at the school Kara kisses his head and tell him to have a good day and that If she can't pick him up someone will be here but it won't be his aunts Alex and Maggie as they are out of town visiting a friend, someone will be here to pick him up and bring him to Catco. Nodding he gets out and waves to his mum.

Going to work Kara parks her car and gets in just before 8am after getting some coffee and pastries for her friends. She smiles at everyone as she goes up to her office and sets her stuff down and meets Winn and James, handing them their coffee's and such they settle into talk of their weekends and talk about plans for dinner this week when Ms. Grant comes strolling in demanding everyone into her office. 

Once the meeting is over and everyone has their pieces to write Kara finishes up a piece she was writing and sends it to James to add the photo's into the piece then meets with Winn to help her fix her computer. They stay chatting for a while before she knows it, it's almost lunch and she has to go to L-Corp to meet Lena to interview her about her latest research and the brunette refused to talk to anyone but Kara. Flushing slightly Kara agreed to doing the piece and emailed Lena asking what time to come over. They exchanged words and came to the agreement that Kara would come over at 12 with coffee and doughnuts.
