Alice went rigid and grabbed Luke's shirt tight. How did he find us? She started to shake, knowing exactly who that voice belonged to. She refused to look at him, knowing she would do whatever he wanted if she did, just to keep Luke safe. Luke spoke first, wrapping his arm around her protectively.

"What the hell are you doing here Scott?" You could hear the hatred and rage in his voice. This isn't going to end well, Alice thought. "You were already told by her and the court to stay away. Literally an hour ago. What is it going to take for you to get the message that she doesn't want an abusive dick like you around?!" Luke was shouting, letting his anger take over.

"Poor Luke. You know she only wants me. You're just a rebound till I get her back." Scott slinked out of the shadows, Alice turned her head, so she could see him, noticing something reflective in his left hand. Alice tugged on Luke's shirt and he nodded, he saw the knife as well. Scott looked down at his hand and smiled. "Oh, you noticed this huh? See this is just some encouragement to get your damn hands off my girl. And for her to come quietly with me."

"Alice, when I snap my fingers, I need you to run to the jeep." Luke whispered. The jingle of keys made her blood run cold, Scott had them. "Plan change; just run." Luke moved so that Alice was standing behind him. "What's it going to take Scott? An all-out fight between us?" He nearly shouts, taking a step toward Scott.

"Don't worry darling. This won't take long, then I will deal with you." Alice cringed inward at his vague threat, remember all the times he hurt her, dragged her through his house, and threatened her. A fire rose up in her, an anger she didn't know she had started to bubble in her stomach. Alice glared at him and walked up next to Luke, taking his hand in hers. "You ungrateful bitch. Your going to regret this, very much. Before I was being gentle, trying to teach you softly that you were disrespecting me. Now, I won't be so easy."

"So, all the bruises and broken bones was you being gentle?" Scott began walking around the tables, trying to get closer to them. Luke and Alice back stepped, nearly in unison. Alice kept her eyes glued on Scott.

"You are never going to touch me again." Alice spat at him. He glared, his fists clenching as he lunged forward. Before Luke could swing at Scott, Alice kicked out and connected to his chest with her left foot, the force knocked Scott and Alice both down. Scott jumped up first, and tried to step on Alice, who rolled out of the way, under the picnic tables. Luke took a step forward and Scott swung the silver blade at him, a 5-inch hunting knife that was his grandfathers, it had a worn antler handle with WALKER engraved into it. Luke jumped back, the blade barely missing his chest.

She crawled out the back side of the table, taking in the crazy scene when she turned around. Luke was avoiding being cut by Scotts knife, trying to get his punches in when Scott was in range, Scott's nose was bleeding from a punch already, his face red with anger. Alice crept around the tables, staying close to the wall trying to get behind Scott, a thick piece of kindling in her hands. She snuck closer, Scott distracted by Luke it seemed like he forgot about her, she was mid swing when he turned and caught her arm with the knife, cutting her left forearm. She screamed out a word, just one, that confused her as soon as she heard herself say it. Eingana.

Scott grinned at the sight of her wound and blood, he lunged again, catching her off guard and slicing into her left arm again, this time just above her elbow. She threw her right hand out in front of her, screaming Eingana again. A searing pain shot through Alice's body, she felt weak and faint. The last thing she saw was Scott slice Luke's right bicep, blood soaking his shirtsleeve.

"Anderson, I have no idea which college to go to! I have been accepted into 3, I have a full-ride scholarship to one of them, but it's an hour further than the others. I don't want to be that far from mom and dad." Alice said as the white rabbit hopped along the trail next to her. She kept looking at the sunset, a bright green, purple and blue instead or red and yellow like at home. Birds chirped from the strange fruit trees next to the trails, and the wildflowers whispered amongst themselves as Alice and Anderson continued by.

"Is it just them your afraid of leaving? Or Luke too?" Anderson gave Alice a weary sideways glance and came to a stop. "Or is it us here? You know how to get back to us. How to help us. You just have to remember." He winked, glancing at the watch he always wore around his neck, tapping his foot impatiently, like he had somewhere to be.

"Quit talking nonsense. I know, I know." Alice started walking again, hoping that he would drop the Luke part of the conversation.

"You know how mad Miss Evans gets when we are late. Don't roll your eyes at me, Miss. I wasn't the one who set this date up, you are." He was right, Alice was the one who set this impromptu tea party up. Partially because Hatter had just gotten back from the university. Part of Alice was anxious to see him, she hadn't seen him in 10 years. Part of her was nervous too, but she wasn't sure why.

They continued down the trail, Alice lost in thought about what Anderson had said. Wonderland wasn't in trouble. Wonderland was perfectly fine, the exact same as the first time she had been here, no surprises whatsoever. A roar that sounded like a jet plane made Alice drop to her knees, covering her ears. Apparently, she was wrong. She looked around for Anderson, hoping he hadn't hopped away like a coward only to find a ginormous black and blue dragon was standing in front of her, where he had been. Alice's blood ran cold as her mouth fell open in shock.

"ANDERSON!" She screamed as she jumped up. The dragon took a defensive step back, looking down at where it had just been standing. Alice sighed, relieved that Anderson had moved, but terrified because he was gone. Leaving her alone, with the dragon.

"Hello dearie. I seemed to have scared poor Anderson off. I'm terribly sorry about that." The thick, feminine English accent just rolled right out through the dragon's massive teeth as she lowered her head onto the road. Alice couldn't move, stuck in a state of awe. The dragon rolled her eyes as if annoyed at Alice's silence. "I'm Eingana. Are you going to speak stupid girl?"

"ALICE!" Luke screamed as Alice collapsed on the ground, pale and bleeding. "Your crazy Scott! What are you going to do, kill me? Then what?" Scott kneeled to Alice, brushing hair that escaped her hat and ponytail off her cheek, smiling, like he took pleasure in seeing her in pain. "DON'T TOUCH HER!" Luke made a move to lunge but Scott raising the blade to Alice made him stop.

"Luke, you naive man. She will never love you like she loves me. We will work through this mishap as soon as your gone. And yes, that's exactly what I plan to do." Scott stood, so slowly and calmly it gave Luke goosebumps. "This is going to hurt. But it's going to feel so good for me!" Scott let out a screechy battle cry as he lunged for Luke, swinging the knife side to side desperately. Luke backed up further and further away from Scott, avoiding ever swing while trying to keep an eye on Alice. She was getting more and more pale.

Scott lunged once more, Luke dropped to the ground and jabbed Scott in the stomach, causing him to drop to the ground, the knife clattering to the ground about 6 feet away. As both men reached for the knife, the air was filled with a loud low growl. Scott froze, he must think it's a bear or something, Luke thought as he slowly inched for the knife while Scott was distracted. But what the hell was that?

With another low growl, a light shot out from Alice's right arm, over the railing growing as it went, slowly forming a dragon. As it got further from the mountain, Luke's fingers finally gripped the knife. He jumped up and pointed it at Scott. "You have one chance to get a head start before I call the cops. Before I call Chief." Scott snickered, Luke could see the fear creeping into his eyes. "Drop my keys, walk back to your car slowly and drive. Now." Luke growled the last words, enjoying watching the frustration and fear fill his face. Scott was about to respond when the light dragon appeared next to the railing, flapping its wings slowly so it was hovering.

Scott screamed and dove under the tables as the dragon raised in the air, and in one motion gently picked up Alice's limp body. Luke screamed her name and jumped at the dragon, dropping the knife as he latched on to its legs. It roared and rose quickly into the air, heading further into the forest. "What the hell is going on?!" Luke yelled as the dragon suddenly dove into the trees.
