veronica's POV
a few weeks have pasted and actual school has began.
I woke up by the ugly noise of my alarm and got up.
I took a shower and changed.
apparently the Dolans have to drive us to school everyday because our mom doesn't want to and our dad is too busy with work.
once we were ready nessa and I got to the Dolan's house.
they let us have the spare key so we don't have a long wait.
I was sitting on the coach on my phone and nessa was with Grayson.
to be honest, I don't know why nessa hangs out with him so much. I don't think she likes him because she has a boyfriend back in Missouri.
"hey roni," Ethan said coming down the stairs.
"hi," I said not looking at him.
he went into the kitchen to get breakfast.
everyone was finished getting ready so we all got in the car.

it was first period in biology and we had to do a partner project. Yay.(sarcasm)
everyone was partnering up with their friends and I just sat their.
"Ethan, you wanna be my partner," I girl said in a seductive tone.
"Um, sorry I'm partnered up with, uh, Veronica," I heard behind me.
I looked back seeing Ethan and the girl look at me. I see Ethan mouth: sorry.
the girl walked away in disgusted.
"Why did you do that?" I questioned
"Do you really think I want to be partnered up with thirsty girls?" He asked
"Uh"
"I mean if you don't want to be my partner I can find another one."
"No it's fine" I lied.

it was the end of the day, and Ethan and I decided that we should start our project at my house. So after school Ethan and I went to my room.
we started studying, and I'm just going to say, Ethan's not that smart. Which was fine. I like teaching people. I don't know why, just my specialty.
"roni, what does this mean," Ethan asked.
"Photosynthesis? It's the process where plants produce air."
"ohhhh, okay"
I chuckled
"hey, what are you laughing about!" Ethan yelled
"Nothing," I smiled
I could tell he smiled back.
I couldn't. I couldn't develop feelings. Why does my body fall for guys I don't want to fall in love with.
Ethan's POV
we were almost done with our project, but that's when I looked at roni.
she was asleep and I couldn't help but look at her.
I wasn't watching her, I was admiring her.
she was beautiful.
Her freckles.
her eyebrows.
her lips.
then I noticed I was staring at her.
I decided to pack my things and leave a note so roni knows where I went.
I went down the stairs seeing nessa on the couch talking and giggling to someone.
"Hey nessa"
"oh sorry Aaron I'll talk to you later. Yup. Okay bye. Hey. What were you and roni doing?" She questioned
"We were working on a project. Who were you talking to?"
"Oh my boyfriend back in Missouri."
"oh, well I guess I have to now, see you guys tomorrow!"
"Bye, Ethan"
"Buh bye."
I was back at my house to see Grayson playing his piano in his room.
I knocked on the door and let myself in.
"Hey gray"
"Hey eth, why were you at nessa's house for so long?"
"Roni and I were working on a biology project."
"Oh,"
"Grayson, I know you like nessa," I blurt out.
"What! no!"
"Yes you do gray,"
"Fine! I do really like her." He admits
"Okay then. When I was leaving the merrell's house, nessa was talking to her boyfriend." I said.
"oh," He said disappointed
"I'm sorry gray,"
"No, it's fine. Thanks for not embarrassing me. Heh. I was going to tell her I liked her tomorrow."
the room was quiet.
I broke the silence by saying:
"okay I going to get some rest. See you tomorrow."
"Goodnight" Grayson said quietly
"Goodnight"
