Dancing with the Shadows

Chapter One

Abby sat under a tree, where her mom laid, buried she died when Abby was only 6. Sebastian killed her because she had a gun, pointing it at her own daughter. She didn't understand that her mom hated her, now she sat alone, Sebastian in front of her, speaking yet she blocked it out, until he spoke up, snapping her out of her day dream "Abby! Are you even listening?" He asked. She just looked at him "S- sorry Sebastian but I just..." She stopped as tears welled up at the corners of her eyes. Sebastian sighed, and hugged her close, he didn't need a body to hug her, all he needed was her power, which grew stronger ever night, since the moon gave her more power, she felt like she would never understand why her mom hated her, but would never understand why Sebastian protected her. He spoke softly "Do not worry, I am here to help you... And protect you.." She cried into his shoulder, her small form shaking. He shushed her quietly, as her sobs turned into hiccups "Do not worry Abby, I am here for you..."
