"Don't let him get to you, boo. He will come around." Mesha said, shaking her head.

"Girl, he ain't on my mind. I been laid up in Dee bed for the last two weeks." I laughed, dapping her up.

I planned on playing my role until I couldn't play it anymore. Since that night at the club, Dee had been extremely mean and nasty with me. Vincent wouldn't talk to me at all. I have called that nigga about a million times over the course of three days, and haven't got not one answer from him.

"Noooo. Stop lyin', bitch!" Mesha shouted, laughing and dapping me up too.

"Neva been so serious in my life before. That nigga put it down. Almost made me forget who I was mad at." I said, causing her to laugh.

I scoffed out a fake laugh and flipped my hair over my shoulder to be cocky. We were sitting in the food court at the mall, having lunch and talking. Sariyah's 1st birthday was today and we were talking about what to get her, but somehow the conversation turned onto Vincent. I was surprised Dee was actually letting me go out, I mean the nigga threatened my life and I was nearly scared to even go around Vincent without looking over my shoulder now. I already knew it was some kind of catch because he just wasn't going to let me go without anybody watching my every move. I had to try to disguise myself a little bit today, but how?

Just tell Vincent to beat his ass. Damn.

I smirked wildly to myself, picking up my Caramel latte. I brought the delicious, warm liquid to my lips, and sipped, pondering on all the ways I could get out of this situation. I was going to use this time I was given to go to the police. Dee wasn't going to become a better person over night, and it had everything to do with us killing his sister.

"Vincent is supposedly dating my cousin, but I doubt it. No, I didn't set that up. I know that he is going to be there and she is too, that's why I'm letting you know now before you pop off at the party. Like Kay this is for your goddaughter so just be chill." Mesha pleaded, poking out her bottom lip.

I forced out a fake smile, biting my tongue so hard I draw my blood.

He had a girlfriend, but he couldn't even keep his dick in his pants a whole 24 hours of saying he wanna be with me? Livid wasn't the right emotion to describe what I was.

"I'm chill, Mesha. I'm chill." I feigned ignorance, smiling while taking another sip of my latte.

"Let's go to Toys R Us, and get the best present ever."

Seven (Precious)

"Gregory, c'mere!" I screamed, throwing this stupid birthday banner down on the patio ground.

I was sweaty, it was hot, and the party started in about an hour. I hadn't even showered, or picked out my clothes. Sariyah was with Zane and I hoped and prayed he had my baby girl looking right because I was going to have to kill 'em.

"Yes, baby?" Bull asked, walking out of the kitchen and over to me in the backyard.

"I can't put this up and the party is in less than an hour. I can't do this. We have to cancel. We have to—"

"Aye. Cool it, ma. It's aight. I got this. Go take yo' sexy ass back in the house and get ya self ready." He ordered, leaning down toward my face.

I looked up into his sweet, brown eyes and smiled, leaning up to his lips.
