All day, whenever someone mentions the Triwizard tournament I get thay terrible feeling. I sense death. Cedric said he was going tk enter. I kept trying to persuade him not to, but he wouldn't budge.
"Come on Cedric, please." I begged as he was entering the great hall to put his name in the Goblet.
"Riley, I already told you. I'll be fine."
"Please just listen to me." I said.
"Riley, you know there is such thing as a false alarm right?"
"Yes, but I can sense it, Cedric. It's really strong. And not only that but.. I don't know. I just feel uneasy about it."
"Riley. I can protect myself. I will be fine."
I took the paper out of his hand.
"Cedric, I won't let you do this."
"Yes you will Riley, now give me the paper."
"I.. I can't."
"Yes you can."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"You are the most stubborn person I've ever known." he said.
He reached for the paper but I pulled it back. We fought over the paper until he eventually was able to pry it out of my hand.
"Please." I said one last time.
He dropped the paper into the Goblet.
I stared at him as if he just kicked a puppy.
I turned around and walked angrily to my common room.
I was sitting on my bed, completely stressed out. I was almost pulling my hair out trying to come up with another reason I would be sensing it. It mean anything. It might not have anything to do with the tournament. But it does. I only feel if when someone brings it up. I don't know what to do. Angelina sat staring at me for a moment before getting up and walking out of the dorm. A few moments later, George walked in.
"Riley, are you okay? Angelina told me you were sobbing."
"No. I'm not okay. Cedric wouldn't listen to me."
"What are you talking about?" he asked.
I explained about the sense of death about the tournament and Cedric entering anyway.
"I..." he didn't know what to say. Obviously noticing that words weren't going to help the situation right now, he pulled me into a hug.
I sat there for a moment, before he said he had to get back to his dorm.
I said goodbye and he left. I pulled the covers over me and fell asleep.
