3rd POV
"I am fine! I'm perfectly capable of working!" Percival Graves, Director of Magical Security, was arguing with the President of the American Ministry of Magic. Said president simply rolled her eyes in response.
"Mister Graves. You have been locked up in a old house for 7 months. You need a break." She put emphasis on need. Graves simply turned sharply in his heels and left the office, slamming the door behind him.
The president, or as she is referred to as Madam President, sighed and continued to read reports. No less than 2 minutes later, she heard a soft knock at her door.
"Come in."
The door opened slowly to reveal Newt Scamander. He, dressed in his usual attire and case in hand, walked slowly in, haunched over slightly.
"Hello Mister Scamander. To what do I owe the pleasure?"
"J-just came t-to say goodbye. A-and thanks for your h-help." He stuttered. When he stutters, Madam President mused to herself, it's because he's uncomfortable instead of nervous.
"Well it is good to see you one last time."
"W-was that Mister G-Graves I saw?"
"Yes, indeed it was. That man refuses to relax."
"I-I could take him to London."
"Why would you do that?"
"I need help with my creatures. The Kelpie is particularly difficult because-"
"If you can get him to come with you, that would be great. If not, I don't know what I'm going to do with him." She cut him off.
"Ok then. Hopefully when we meet again it won't be such bad circumstances."
"Hopefully."
He turned around and made his way out the door quietly.
Newts POV
I rushed down the hall as fast as I could. I now had to get a very angry Director of Magical Security in my case. A plan, yes that's what I need. First... uh... what about the excuse of I forgot my way to the dock. Yes that will do. Now to get him in the case. How about, I need help checking on all of my creatures before I board. Then I'll come up with an excuse to get out of the case and get on the boat. Now to find him. I walk fast in the direction I saw him walk in earlier. I see him standing next to A large desk talking to a fairly old woman. I walk up and stand there nervously for a moment.
"E-e-excuse me, M-m-Mister Graves. M-may I s-speak with you?"
"You are."
"I-I seem to have f-forgot my way to the d-dock. W-would you mind taking me there?" I stuttered. I hate talking to people. He thought for a moment.
"You sure you want me to take you?" He raised his eyebrow.
"I-I'm positive. You s-seem to be t-the kind of p-person who knows."
"Ok then," He turned to the woman at the desk. "send a message to the president that I am leaving for my lunch break."
"Will do sir."
"Let us be off shall we?"
Time-skip brought to you by Newt telling Tina about lizards *wink wink*
We walked for about 20 minutes before we reached the dock. I knew now was the time to get him in my case.
"Uh Mister Graves. Could you come help me check on my creatures? I need to make sure they are all comfortable and ready for a long ride." I said, surprisingly without stuttering.
"I suppose so." He said unsure.
I opened up my case and gestured him inside. He looked uncertain but still climbed in. I followed just behind him. Once I got to the bottom, I stepped passed him out of the little shed and called out.
"Credence!! Someone is here. He's a friend." I heard running and turn to see Credence running with a big grin with Dougal following behind him.
"What is it, Newt? I was just teaching all the creatures how to play tag." He said breathless.
"I just want to warn you that who you are going to see is not who you think, I promise. If you feel uncomfortable, just come find me, ok?"
"Of course Newt. I trust you."
I guided him to the shed. Graves turned around quickly from the latter. Credence gasped and gripped my arm.
"Relax. This is the real Graves. I walked all the way to the dock with him. He's perfectly safe." I grinned. Credence nodded slowly. He let go of his death grip from my arm and slowly walked over to Graves. He held out his hand.
"Hello there. My name is Credence. What's yours?"
"Graves. Percival Graves." Graves took his hand and shook it firmly. Credence was more confident after I took him in. And more open. It helped that I changed his style and cut his hair. He now wears simple clothes and leaves his hair be. He gets particularly dirty, as to be expected, when he plays with the creatures.
"Credence, I need to talk to you upstairs for a moment. Graves, do make yourself comfortable and do not leave the shed until I get back." I put stress on not. I lead Credence up the latter. When we got out, I locked the case and picked it up.
"What are you doing?"
"We're going to London."AHHA!!!! I'm doing it again. I am creating another story that will take forever to finish. I know Newt and Credence's relationship is different and Credence is acting differently but this is what I think if Newt and Credence were able to live together even just for a short while. I hope you don't mind. If you do you mind then leave. If not, then stay.
