The journey begins

chapter 2

While he was on his way home, he noticed that two men were following him from the shadows.

He wasn't really sure they were following him so he started running to find out for sure.

While he was running they were trying  to keep up with him and not get noticed.

After a while he slowed down and as he was walking he took a turn at a corner of the street.

It was really quiet.

Aitra  told them that he knew they were there, so they may as well come out.

The man answered

-”Hah, so the little brat noticed us huh.”

He looked like a middle-aged man .

His partner got to inpatient and said

-”So you think your smarter than us! You little..”

He was younger than the middle aged man, but older than Aira

And Kiefer responded

-”no, not really. But you were doing a pretty crappy job, it's like you guys were trying to get noticed.”

Losing his temper the young man attacks Aira with a knife.

At that split second he grabbed the man by the wrist and twisted it, making him fall on the ground and drop his knife.

Not knowing what had happened, he stood up and shouted with a furious voice

-“What the hell just happened?!”

-“you got your ass handed to you by a kid, that's what happened.”

Not fully understanding what was going on, he muttered

-“Bu...but how, he's just a kid. That's impossible!”

Aira stared at them with ice cold eyes and said

-”Are you sure about that?”

After laughing softly and scratching the back of his head, the middle-aged man thought

-“Well, I thought I would at least live a little longer then this.”

with a confused look on his face his partner asked him what he was whispering about.

Not giving him enough time to answer, Aira  picked up the knife from the ground and ran unnoticed behind the one of them and slashed his throat while the man was trying to look at Aira who was standing behind him.

Left speechless his partner dropped on his knees.

Aira slowly raised his hand that was holding the knife, and threw it right in the skull of that man. He killed them both.

It was silent for a while.

Aira was deep in thought, thinking

-”this is a pain. I'm sure more of them will come after me. I should have been more careful. They probably saw my eyes at that place where the group was gathered.”

Saying that he continued heading back home.

His house was not located in the village. It was on the edge of the mountain. Most people didn't go there because the fog there is so thick.

While walking home he saw his little sister coming towards him. She ran towards him with a big smile on her face and welcomed him giving him a big hug.

-“Enya…! What are you doing, I told you to stay home.”

Noticing the blood on his sleeves, Enya replied with a puffed up face

-”Did you kill someone?”

Aira looked down on his sleeves en realized that there was blood left from when he sliced the throat of that man.

Not wanting to lie to his little sister, he tells her what happened.

Enya’s face lightened up a bit, and she said

-”alright, I guess I forgive you this time.”

With a big smile on her face.

Aira also smiled back.

-”Now, let's go home I still have to make dinner.”

He mentioned with a responsible look.

Enya cheerfully replied

-“okay, I'm sure it will be delicious.”

“Did you buy me some sweets?”

Aira looked with a kind smile at Enya, and mentioned that his wallet got stolen.

Enya held his hand and smiled.

They continued walking home together.

As they continued to walk home, a bright light was shining in the distance.

After looking at it for a while, Enya mentioned that it looked like something was burning.

Aira reflexively whispered

-”no, it can't be.”

Surprised by his response, Enya got confused.

Hoping He was wrong, Aira ran as fast as he could to the fire.

When Enya was trying to follow his movements, she couldn't keep up.

It was like Aira vanished from one place to another.

Trying to keep up with Aira, Enya shouted

-”wait Aira! Slow down!”

When Enya arrived at the scene, she saw Aira looking up at the burning house.

It was there home that was burning.

Shocked by what had happened, Aira said

-”I don't understand.  Why is this happening? Not again. I guess I shouldn't be surprised anymore.”

Trying to lighten up the mood, Enya suggested to camp outside today.

Aira wanted Enya to keep her cheerful smile.

And so, they camped outside. Until the first sunlight.

When Enya woke up, she saw Aira sitting under a tree.

She looked at him and wanted to tell him something.

Aira quickly answered

-“I know.”

He stood up, put out the campfire.

-”Get ready. We're going.”

-”Going where?”

-“I think it's time we payed Uncle a visit.”
