The New Job

"Welcome to Starbucks. How may I help you?" Mitch said as a customer told him what he wanted.

Kirstie (his co-worker/ Best Friend/ roommate) walked up to him "i'll take it from here, it's already your break." Mitch dismisses what she said and takes the order anyway.

Kirstie rolls her eyes and walks towards the wall phone when it starts ringing. She picks it up "Hello, It's Starbucks how may I help you?" Kirstie gasps "oh, he's right here. Hold on a moment." she calls back to Mitch, covering the speaking part of the phone with her palm "Mitch, it's for you."

Mitch finishes giving the customer the change back and runs to grab the phone from Kirstie's hands "Hello?... This is he." there's a long pause. "Oh My gosh thank you so much. Yeah, see you on Tuesday. Bye"

Kirstie serves the drink to the now satisfied customer and turns back to Mitch, since there's no one else in line at the moment. "What happened?" Mitch smiles while biting his lip as if he couldn't wait to tell her the news.

"I got the job." Kirstie gasped and ran up to him and squeezed him so tight that if he was a balloon, he would pop.

Mitch laughs and reciprocates the hug "Kirstie, I would like you to go to LA with me." Kirstie lets go of Mitch wide eyed "seriously?"

Mitch nods and gives her pleading eyes "please? I mean there has to be at least one Starbucks over there and we could get an apartment just like the one we have here-" Kirstie cuts him off "stop right there. You had me at going with you to LA."

Mitch laughs and picks Kirstie up and spins her around. When he puts her back down the bell at the counter rings, which means there's a customer.

Kirstie stops Mitch from taking it and cuts him off. She walks up to the register to see a little older woman "hello, welcome to Starbucks, how may I help you?"

Kirstie and Mitch were at the apartment and were so tired that Kirstie automatically clopped onto the couch.

Mitch got a make up wipe and started wiping his face with it to clean off all the base and mascara.

Kirstie picked up her phone and went through her notifications on YouTube. "Oh my god..." Mitch threw away the make up wipe and sat next to Kirstie on the couch. "What's up?" Kirstie shows him the phone "click on the video." Mitch takes the phone out of her hands "ok?"

Mitch presses on the phone where it has the play button when a video of Mitch's Idol pops onto the screen.

"Hey guys, I am making this video today because I have some exciting new announcements and stuff to...well...Announce." Scott laughs and his laugh in the video brings a smile to Mitch's face.

Mitch keeps watching as Scott speaks up again "so first on the agenda is I have a new album coming out in a week which I am really excited about for you guys to hear and I have been working so hard on it. Number 2 is that I am actually going on my very first Christmas tour starting on November 24th, after 4rs of being a singer and making christmas albums it's all payed off for this concert. And if you are wondering why I am telling you this now since it is August? It's because starting on October 1st I am starting 'Scott Live' where I will upload behind the scenes footage of the tour rehearsals so stay tuned for that."

Mitch squeals and says to Kirstie "we have to get the tickets." Kirstie laughs "keep watching the video, I will be in the kitchen making a snack for movie night." Mitch nods and watches Kirstie walk to the kitchen before going back to his phone.

Scott resumes talking "The last surprise I have for my Scotty fans is my favorite thing to talk about so far. You have to live in LA and have to be good singer. I am having a competition and the winner gets to sing with me on an upcoming album. Thanks for watching this video, I hope to see you all on tour. Bye."

Mitch is speechless, Kirstie walks back in the living room with a gigantic smile on her face "you should do it Mitch." Mitch shakes his head "I can't, I got a job at a recording agency-" Kirstie cuts him off "yeah, as a person who serves the coffee's and shit." Mitch shrugs "so? I'm getting tired. See you tomorrow morning."

(3 days later)

It was Monday and Mitch and Kirstie had just landed in LA and were now stepping into their new apartment.

Kirstie drops her bags down on the floor and sighs. Mitch rolls is eyes at her weakness. Mitch walks to his room and starts thinking about how to redecorate it. Kirstie gets into her room and immediately flops down on the bed.

Kirstie closes her eyes and breathes in the new house smell "I could get used to this." Mitch sits on the edge of her bed "I can to"
