I woke up to the most annoying sound on Earth: the default iPhone alarm. I checked mine and Levi's phone, but it wasn't ours. Memories of the night before came back, our joint bachelor and bachelorette party and everyone staying over for the night. I got up and knocked on the guest bedroom door. When there was no answer, I opened the door and found Vanessa and Jamie on one air mattress, Millie and Georgia on another, all four of them snoring. Millie, Georgia and Brooklyn had all arrived some time after we finished playing Truth or Dare. They hadn't brought Leah since there was alcohol involved and she was under 18. I checked their phones and it wasn't theirs either. I went to the living room where Brooklyn and Kelsey were sharing a mattress and Elliot and Josh were sharing another. The alarm was coming from Kelsey's phone so I slapped her awake. "That's for disturbing my sleep."
She rolled off the mattress and onto the floor. "Dibs on the bathroom first," she groaned.
"I beat you to it," Levi said whilst running. "Fallon can join me if she wants."
"Fallon's good, thanks," I replied. I climbed back into bed and fell asleep again.
"Babe, wake up." I groaned and stretched my arms out for him to come to me. Levi lay down on top of me but didn't put his full weight on me. I hugged him close. "How did you know it was me? It could have been any one of those fools calling you babe."
"You're the only one who's allowed to call me babe," I mumbled.
"Good. Now wake up." He kissed my nose.
"Let's skip today."
Levi sighed. "As tempting as that sounds, I would like to graduate this year. Come on, we have English and you have Art. Go paint me a pretty picture."
"You're a pretty picture," I muttered. I heard him laugh and thank me.
"Now please wake up." I asked for five minutes. "Fine, but I'm counting." A few seconds later, I was pushed off the bed.
"What the hell?" I shouted.
"It's been five minutes. I told you I was counting."
"Don't lie to me. That was five seconds."
"Look at the time stamps on the pictures," Levi said, handing me his phone. There were two pictures of me sleeping with a difference of exactly five minutes. I handed him his phone back and slapped the back of his head.
"You push me off again, I'm never kissing you again."
"Fine by me. You need them more than I do."
I left the room before I hit him again. After changing and eating breakfast, I got into Levi's car. My cousins asked if Levi could give them a lift since Kelsey was still sleeping. We dropped Millie and Georgia at their school and then drove Brooklyn to her friend's dorm.
"Should we not wake Kelsey up?" Levi asked.
"It wouldn't work. She'll wake up when she wants to." He drove us to school and parked in a space furthest away from the doors. "Why do you want to walk so much?" I asked.
"Just because I said we weren't skipping doesn't mean I want to be here," he replied. Levi put an arm around my shoulder and led me towards the front doors, slowly.
"What's first lesson?" I asked.
"We've had the same timetable for months. How have you not memorised it by now?"
"I've memorised your face and name. I think that's enough for me," I shrugged. Levi sighed and replied that we had English. The last couple of weeks Miles had stopped coming into school, so I'd completely forgotten about him until we walked into the class room.
