A week passed with no sign of him coming, and because Miss Forticia didn't want to rush him, she didn't call him, until a mysterious, rectangular box arrived at her doorstep. Toby had slept for two weeks now, so he was certainly rested, as Miss Forticia had kept him that way in case he fainted from shock or loss of blood.
"Hey, Michael, are you busy? I got your package. What's this for? Also, you DO know it's been two weeks, right?"
"Ah, sorry, something came up, so I can't come. I was going to tell you, but like I said, something came up. Also, it turns out that I don't need that quart of dragon's blood anyways... I got impatient and used something else, haha- hey, will you quit it! I'm talking on the phone here! Stop poking me!"
A girl's giggle sounded on the phone.
"Michael? Are you ok? Who's there with you? Your cousin or something? And what's wrong with your voice, it seems a bit different than normal?"
"Ahaha, she's my niece, Melody. I've been entrusted with her by my cousin, and she's quite a handful to take care of, you see. I caught a cold, so that's why I sound different, ok? Don't worry about me, I'll be fine after some rest. In the meanwhile, just follow the instructions in the box. Good luck, and bye," he said as he hung up quickly, not allowing Miss Forticia to even get a word in.
"Hmm... I never knew he had a cousin," she mumbled under her breath as she grabbed the box cutter and sliced open the sealed box. "And doesn't your voice get lower if you have a cold? It's almost like he inhaled a bit of helium..."
Opening it up to see, she found that it was disappointingly a severed leg. She thought there'd be something more. A severed leg was really nothing to her.
"I wonder where he got ahold of this... He hasn't gotten caught up with those organ trafficking schemes, has he?" she said aloud, genuinely concerned. Fortunately, a playful note from Michael read, "I created this with some spare supplies and synthetic flesh, so don't worry! :D"
She turned over the paper to find instructions.
"Simply attach this leg with the help of this magic circle. Pour in enough magic power to equal a pint of dragon's blood, or actually use a pint of dragon's blood. It's up to you."
In small print, it read, "Of course, I bet you'll use the second option. //snickers. You never had much magic power."
"Why, that kid!" Miss Forticia grunted as she held a fist. "But I should focus on this right now. Fixing my nephew is always more important. Probably."
She grabbed a nearby wire and flicked some switches after attaching it with some clippers to the paper. "Set it to the proper amount..."
She arranged Toby and the leg in the proper places, and started the transfer of magic power from the backup tank to the paper, where the wire was clipped onto. The magic circle lit up with a powerful, blue glow and the artificial leg knit itself together with the rest of Toby. The paper burned up, having served its purpose, and Miss Forticia rushed to dispel the magical influence that had kept him asleep for the week.
"Ah. Miss Forticia. I can't remember, but why exactly am I on this table?" he asked, having just woken up.
"Don't you remember? You pulled off an emergency teleportation with part of your leg missing and landed on my table when I was using it. You better help fix the glass equipment you shattered!"
"Sorry, sorry," he apologized, looking down at his right leg. "Can you tell me why my legs both point left?"
She facepalmed.
"I completely forgot to tell him that it was his right leg that got lost..."
"No problem, I'll just rearrange it, like so," Toby reassured as he changed it into the correct structure.
