Long ago...

Two races ruled over Earth.

HUMANS and MONSTERS.

One day, war broke out between the two races.

After a long battle, the humans were victorious.

They sealed the monsters underground with a magic spell.

Many years later...

MT. Ebott 201X

Legends say the those who climb the mountain never return.

A human child named Chara climbed the mountain.

They fell down into the underground.

Where they met the monster prince Asriel.

They became best friends with the monster prince.

Together they spread hope throughout the underground.

One day, the human ate buttercups.

They became deadly ill.

The human child had made a plan with the monster prince.

They never told the king or queen about this plan.

The monster prince would absorb the child's soul.

And cross the barrier.

They would collect 6 more human souls and become a god.

They would release all the monsters.

When the child's soul became visible the monster prince grabbed it.

The child's last wish was to see the flowers of their home town.

The prince took the child's body and crossed the barrier.

He took the child and laid their body on a bed of golden flowers in the human town.

Before he could pay his final respects, the humans saw him.

They attacked thinking he killed the child.

The prince had the power to level the town with a snap of his fingers.

The child's soul wanted to kill the humans for they never liked them either.

Yet, he didn't.

He wouldn't kill someone who was just defending their town.

He refused.

After taking mortal wounds he just smiled.

He grabbed the child's body and left.

When he got back to the monster throne room he collapsed.

Mortally wounded he lay on the ground.

He turned to dust and from the ashes...

A golden flower grew.

MT Ebott. 100 years in the future.

A child fell down MT Ebott.

A soul of Emerald had come and gone.

Sapphires and Amethysts soon followed.

Ambers and Topaz shining bright.

A last lapis had fallen from the sky.

All in the shape of a heart.

There's only been one soul like the one that fell that day.
