A small boy with brown bushy hair and brown eyes taking off his hat. He had a scratch from under the eye to the cheekbone.

??? Hello, am I bothering anything?

You n-No, your fine. What happened there?

You pointed towards his cheek

??? Accident, but what about you?

You just, bully problems.. that's all I guess.

??? If you have any problems, you know where to find me. But hey, I got time. Tell me what happened.

You thanks, I'm y/n.. and well, I have this crush on this kid Cole

You smiled at the thought of him and looked down at the table.

You everyone teases me because they say he likes me. Even my friends think that, I me and him got so close and so they think we have a thing, there a rumor saying we are but, we are not. JOSIE said how awful his taste in girls are and she'll kill her self if she was in the stage that I am, SHE SAID SHE'LL KILL HERSELF!

You looked up and a single tear escaped your eye. He looked at you with sorrow and hope. He gave you a faint smile and said

??? Jerry. Nice to meet you and don't worry, your beautiful and if she keeps saying that, maybe they would have to check something out after what's wrong with her. I'll see you around y/n.

You both smile and laughed. He then went out. You looked out the window he looked over and gave you and reassuring small salute with his two fingers. You waved and he went off.

You were skipping back home so you could get some things and to take to Cole's since, you know, but you don't know how long your gonna be there. Probably until you decide to get out of Avonlea. I mean, sure you love it here. But household problems where becoming difficult. You got on the steps and went through the front door. You father was passed out on the couch. You scurried up to your room and grabbed a leather bag and fitted the rest of the things you had in your room and heard a BANG from downstairs as if someone feel. You heard footsteps and quickly got packed. You were gonna jump from the window to go down but you got stopped with a hand on your shoulder and you spun around, it was your father.

Father HOW DARE YOU LEAVE ME HERE ALONE FOR THAT SCOUNDREL OF A BOY. RUNNING WITH A BOY IS NOT A GIRL THING TO DO Y/N! YOUR NOT EVEN SMART ENOUGH IN THE HEAD TO LISTEN TO ME NOW ARE YOU? IF I SEE YOU ANYWHERE NEAR THAT BOY OR ANYONE, I'LL KILL YOU OR THEM! WE ALREADY LOST MOTHER AND I DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOU.

you THEN ACT LIKE IT!

he got mad and slapped you with a superior force. You dropped your bag and already had a big red mark from your eye down to your jawline. The tears were building up quickly and dripped ever so gently. You didn't know if that was an accident or on purpose. You jumped to conclusions and thought it was on purpose. (Which it was) and got furious. Madly walked up to him and slapped him and punched him repeatedly. That made him even more angrier. You hid behind the mirror only to have him knock it down and the glass shattering everywhere. You crawled under your bed and out on the other side. He was blocking the door when you didn't know where to go. He gripped on tightly onto you and threw you down on the floor only to give you a hurting wrist and a dizzyhead. So dizzy you were nearly out. He keeled down beside you and started punching you and slapping you. You had so many tears there wouldn't be any for the future and your eyes would get dried. You were screaming and yelling for him to stop, but he wouldn't. THIS been going on for at least 5 minutes until he finally harshly picks you up til your standing on your feel and pushes you making you stumble. He walks out. You just stare at him when he leaves the room and goes downstairs back to who ever knows what. Your tears were slowly streaming down your face when you stood there and silently welp. Choking on tears and words. You climbed out the window and ran
