Louis' P.O.V.
I stood outside the court room with the five kids and nervously fiddled with my keys. They were making a judgement about whether the children should stay in my custody or be returned to their parents.
"Louis come on" Jessica called me back into the court room.
My heart skipped a beat and I picked up Ruby and held onto Harry as Zayn picked up Liam.
"I call this court to order. Case number LT37059 Louis Tomlinson custody case." The judge called out. She pulled a few papers around and I couldn't help but look over at the awful people that called themselves parents to these toddlers. "When reviewing the case I noticed that it came with physical evidence of healthier children since they've been in your care Mr. Tomlinson. How do you plan on keeping them healthy?"
"I have a job I have them set up in daycare and they have regular doctors appointments set up until they are all caught up on their shots. They have baths every night and my two oldest help me make them breakfast lunch and dinner." I explained the best I could.
"We have an address here for you is it current?"
"Yes ma'am."
She turned her attention to the biological parents, "you both do not have a home or jobs or proper hygiene for these children."
It wasn't even a question. She then closed the file she had on her desk and looked at all of us.
"In the best interest of the twins Ruby and Liam and the toddler Harry. Louis Tomlinson will be appointment full custody and the biological parents are to sign over their rights."
I sighed in relief at her judgement and Ruby hugged me tightly as Harry cling to my leg. I hugged all five of the kids and smiled.
"I love you daddy" Ruby said happily.
"I love you too princess."
-that night-
I invited everyone over to make the announcement. I made sure that Jessica didn't say anything to Harley before tonight because I wanted to be the one to tell everyone.
I invited Oliver and Joanna as well. They were my family and I wasn't going to leave them out of the loop.
"Grandpa!!" I heard Ruby Liam and Harry shout as they ran to the front door.
"Don't run in the house you three" I mentioned as Oliver picked up Ruby and Liam and Joanna picked up Harry.
"Oh daddy caught us run away" Oliver joked as he sped walked into the dining room.
"Champagne? What are we celebrating?" Harley asked.
"Sit please I made dinner and I have wonderful news."
Everyone sat as I stood at the head of the table.
"I went to court today with the kids" I started.
Harley's face fell with my tone of voice Oliver raised an eyebrow and Jessica tried not to crack a smile.
"The biological parents were made to sign over their rights and I am officially the toddlers dad" I stated with a huge smile.
"Louis that's wonderful!" Joanna smiled.
"I knew you could do it son" Oliver commended.
"I officially have a niece!!" Harley shouted.
We all laughed, "really? That's all that matters to you?"
She thought for a moment, "my nephews matter too."
She laughed and I pretended to be offended.
"You know that I'm proud of you Louis so I don't know why you are so upset."
