Book 2: Requiem (Avenged Sevenfold)

Chapter Six

Synyster grabbed Jimmy and pulled him back up the moutin. All the demons we had gathered up charged past us and toward the angels.

The sky started to turn red. Everything was dark, besides the bright red light from the sky.

"Cyndy. I have to battle." Matt said looking me in the eye, "I love you. Be safe."

With that, he kissed me and vanished into the crowed of demons.

"Johnny!" Kayla cried out as Johnny ran pasted me.

He stopped and looked at Kayla with a smile. His eyse changed to pitch black and he vanished.

I looked around for Zacky and Brandy. But I couldnt find them.

"Cyndy!" I herd someone yelling for me.

I looked behind me and Leana was running to me.

I grabbed her hand and pulled her up the moutin.

"Jimmys gone! Hes lost it. Hes blood thirsty." She cried to me.

I hugged her and just kept looking for Brandy.

Finally, I found her, charging down the hill, shortly behind Zacky.

"Brandy!" I yelled out as I left Leana with Kayla and went after her.

"No Zacky!" She yelled as I grabbed her arm.

She tried to fight me off, but I wouldnt let her go.

"Please, I dont wanna loose him." She said threw tears.

I shook my head no, "Hes going to be fine."

I got her back to the top of the moutin and all was left was us girls.

I sat her next to Leana and Kayla, then I looked down at the field.

"Why arent we down there?" Brandy yelled in anger.

I took a deep breath, "You guys cant. You wont make it."

"We? What about you?" Kayla asked worried.

I shurgged my shoulders, "I am the Shepherd of Fire. I could try, but Matt would be furious."

"Dont do it." Leana said grabbing my arm.

I looked at her and sat next to her.

"Thank you." She said threw tears.

I pushed my hair out of my face and watched. That was all I could do.
