Today was my first day on the job. I'm only a janitor but it was my job that I would get til I finished collage to me a judge. I figured being a janitor for the courthouse would help get me into the job. I had no reason to be nervous yet I was, even though once I got comfortable that feeling went away. I got on my uniform and hastily went out the door.

The drive was rather boring since I've taken this way so many times to go shopping I'm about 30 minutes away from everything, stores, work, and people. I usually had the radio on but I was to anxious to leave it on. Thoughts ran through my head for possible conversation, what I will even say on my first day.

I pull up to the employee parking. I walk in and even though I have uniform they continue to search me. I could see how it could get annoying being checked every time. I walk towards the desk.

Without me saying anything the desk clerk said, "down the hall, to your right, then turn to your left and in room 206, people will be training you. Good luck you will need it."

I wondered what she meant by that, "good luck you will need it." I continued on to the room 206. After I walked in there were two dudes.

"Hey my name is ken," said the rather plain and boring one.

"And I'm Dan," said the other guy who seems to be anxious.

They leaned over and grabbed window cleaner.

"Today were cleaning all the windows," said ken.

"Damn, all of them?" I said.

"Yes, don't worry you will get used to it," said Dan.

"So, your names Brandon?" Asked ken.

"Yeah," I said.

"That's a rather boring name," said ken.

"Oh really says the dude with the name ken," I said.

He smiled and we continued on washing every window. My job is basically a all day workout. We then heard the bell from the clock tower.

Dan looked at his watch, "okay, time for lunch," he said"

We sat and continued on eating. There was nothing to be said none of us had a thing in common. The light then flickered.

"Huh, that's odd we should replace the lights," I said.

Dan and ken both looked at each other and smiled.

"So should we get back to work?" Said ken

"I mean if we really have to then sure I guess," I said.

We continued on and didn't get the last of the windows finished. I walked to my car, but it seemed everyone left before me. I then heard children playing, the weird part was I didn't see any kids. I pushed forward convincing myself it was just kids down the street.

I got on my phone and called my friend. I told him everything.

I started to call my friend Alan and before the call went through a computer voice said "Your call is being recorded."

Alan picked up and said "hello."

"Hey, um shit has gone weird since I started."

"Chill out, you always freak out over the smallest things," said Alan and he hung up.

Yes I do freak out a lot but this time was different.
