Miranda's POV
My 2-year-old brother Aaron was sitting next to me, slurping the last bit of the Pepsi through a blue straw. While my 20-year-old sister Amanda, was soundly asleep in front me. My mom was in the driver's seat and then there was me, a very angry teenager.
My whole life went from happy to sad real quick.
I literally hate everything right now, except for maybe food and my friends.
My mom decided to move, she said she had found a better job. Which was weird because my mom only started working 3 months ago.
I look at my hands, wanting to cry so badly.It was my senior year! I found out last minute, my parents had already bought the new house. So I had no choice but to go with them.
We were moving to Allentown, it's in Pennsylvania somewhere.
It takes 5 hours from our old house to the new house. Which breaks my heart, I won't be able to see my friends at all. My parents obviously won't drive 5 hours just for me and my friends to hang out. According to google maps, it'll take me 23h 55 minutes if I bike it and 79h if I walk. I'd probably be dead by that time.
"Mommy, are we there yet?" Aaron asked
"No, honey 1 more hour"
With a heavy sigh, I close my eyes and try to sleep.

I felt a heavy weight on my shoulder, when I turn to look, I see my brother sleeping soundly on my shoulder. I smile to myself, this boy always makes everyone so happy.
The car came to a sudden halt.
When I look out the window, I see what I suppose was our new house.
The house was surprisingly bigger than our other one. I give a slight nudge and whisper to Aaron telling him to wake up. He yawns and touches his eyes.
"Where are we?"
"Our new house bud"
Mom and Amanda were already out of the car and they were talking to somebody I couldn't see.
I pick up Aaron and head over to them.
There were 3 people standing there and when they saw me and Aaron they greeted us.
"Hii! " The lady said.
"I'm Maria, you new neighbour, this is my husband Micheal and my daughter Isabelle" The lady said pointing toward who I assume was her husband and daughter.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Hailey, these are my daughters Amanda and Miranda" my mom said looking around. Me and my sister just awkwardly smile at them.
"And my son is right there, Aaron" my moms says pointing her hand in the direction of the front door, where Aaron was trying to get the door to open
Just then my dad pulls up in a truck, which carried all our stuff.
"Daddddyyyyy" Aaron says, running to my dad as he was getting out of the truck.
"And this is my husband Steve" my mom says. My dad then starts to shake hands with Michael and nodding at everyone else.
"Daddy, the door won't open, I don't think it's likes me" Aaron says
"Oh champ, the door is locked, here daddy will open it for you " We all start heading towards the door, except for my mom. She was still talking to -what's her name?- Magen I think?
My dad unlocks the door and all four of us enter. It smelt nice, kind of like cinnamon. We all started to explore the house.
After awhile I decided which room I wanted. It was located in the side of the house. It was painted in a creamy colour and there was also a washroom attached to it. I walked towards the window to see if I could easily jump out and have an easy access in the house if I ever needed to sneak out. As soon as I opened the window a fresh breeze came rushing in.
I started looking down at the wall, examining every detail of what was there and what I needed. I looked up and saw another window right across from mine. The curtains were closed so I couldn't see anything.
Just as I was about to close the window, a car pulled up at the house where the family had introduced themselves. The person was just about to get out
"Mirandaa" I jump up and look around to see my little brother at my door.
"Jheez Aaron, you scared the s-" I paused when I realized what I was about to say. I don't want him to learn any swearing words, even though I know when he starts going to school, he'll know all of them.
"You scared me bud" I rephrased my sentence.
He smiles and says
" I should be a dragon for Halloween this year, everyone will be scared, they will me give me extra candy!!" I laugh, he's only two but this boy sure is smart.
"Mira mommy is calling you downstairs"
"Alright I'm coming, give me a minute"
He nods and runs to the stairs.
I look back out to where the car was parked, and saw nobody there.
They probably already went inside, I thought to myself.
I close the window and start heading downstairs.
