Mon-el
I woke up groggily to Abbey and Aaron screaming. Not crying, screaming. I quickly get out of bed and notice that Kara is not next to me. I run out to the twins, mentally deciding that I would worry much more about Kara after I got the twins to stop crying. I pick both of them up their cries get quieter and quieter. "It's okay loves. Daddy's here. Why are you crying?" I asked them. Abbey kept crying and Aaron whimpered. "Ok then. Where's mommy?" I tried again. Abbey and Aaron both looked at me still crying and whimpering. I held them to my chest and walked into the kitchen. "Maybe some juice will cheer you up, huh?" I asked them both. I set them on the counter and got two bottles from the counter. I filled one with apple juice and one with orange juice. I gave the apple juice to Aaron and the orange juice to Abbey. I walked into the laundry room since their current clothes were covered in snot, tears, and apple juice.
As I entered the room, I saw Kara on the floor. I quickly ran to her and crouched down, checking her pulse. "Kara?! KARA!!" I demanded. Her pulse was faint so I pulled my phone out and dialed Alex's number. "C'mon.... pick up... c'mon Alex..." I whispered to nobody in general. The ringing of the phone stopped and I heard a tired greeting on the other side. "Alex! Help! Kara collapsed, I think she just passed out but there's a bruise on her forehead-" I spoke quickly into the other side before Alex cut me off. "Listen Mon-el. I'm on the way. Get the twins ready to go and we'll take them to the DEO." She hung up after that and I sighed heavily, trying to calm myself down. I got the twins clothes out of the dryer and changed them. Then I packed the diaper bag and put them in a stroller. I set the bag next to the stroller and gave them each a toy and a cookie. Alex came rushing through the door and I ran back to the laundry room and picked Kara up. I showed Alex the bruises on Kara. There was one on her head and one on her knee from where she had fallen.
Alex took a good look at her and the bruises. "The bruise on her head doesn't look too serious and will disappear in two to three days. But the one on her knee right here is red, purple, and dark blue almost black. This one is a bone bruise and those are very serious. Bone bruises, especially one this bad, are very painful. It's not as serious as a fracture or for it to be broken but the bruise causes irregularities in blood flow. We have to get her to the DEO so the doctors can do a more thorough examination. I'll take the twins and the diaper bag, you carry Kara." Alex tells me.

Kara
At first, all I can see is darkness and then a bright light fills my vision. Once the light disappears, A woman with red hair and a tight white office dress is standing in front of me. Her hands are folded and she looks like a secretary. "Where am I?" I ask her. The lady smiled and took a deep breath. "That information is classified." She replies. I roll my eyes and fold my arms. "Who are you?" I ask her, irritated. "I'm Aubrey." She says. I furrow my eyebrows and step closer to her. "Why am I here? Let me go home." I say to her. She shakes her head and laughs, disappearing instantly. "You are home, Kara." She said from behind me. I jump slightly and turn around to be met with empty space. I look all around the room and shout out. "What the hell are you talking about?! And how do you know my name?!" I question her quickly. "Becuase Kara. You are my daughter. What you were experiencing was a simulation." She says, holding my face. I back out of her reach and stare perplexed at her. "My mother is dead and my adoptive mother is definitely not you. What I experienced was too real. My life was-" "That life didn't exist Kara. It was fake." She cut me off. "But Mon-el, and Abbey. Aaron, Alex, Maggie, James, Winn, the DEO, the multiverse-" "None of it was real Kara. I implore you to see reason. Who would want a life that hectic? The trauma that you went through in the life..." "But what about the good? My family-"
"The good?! There was rarely ever good that you went through in that life Kara! And as for your family... That would never have lasted anyway." She said angrily. "If you're actually my mother you would want me to be happy!" I shouted at her. "I am doing such things because I want you to be happy. You need to wake up Kara! See the world for how it is! Everyone would love to escape into a fantasy world and never have to deal with life but this is just what is!" She shouted back at me. I backed away from her. "What Kara?" She asked me. "I don't know but when you were telling me to wake up I could swear that you sounded like Mon-el," I told her. She looked alarmed for a moment before the smile graced her face again. "These are just the effects of the simulation." She said before walking up close to me. She stabbed a needle into my arm and released the dark red liquid into me. My eyes widened as I looked at her. "What did you do to me?" I asked her. She smiled and held me as I began to fall. "It will all be over soon lovely. Then it will make sense. And we can be together. As a proper family..."

So what did you guys think? Originally this wasn't what I had planned out but I got really into the story and it just kinda took on a path of its own. This isn't my usual romantic chapter and I sort got the base for the idea when I was watching a movie the other day. I have no clue where this part of the story is going but I will try and make it as good as I can do the feedback would be wonderful!
