Angel's POV
When I wake up, I hear CJ and Andrew arguing about something. Instead of leaving the room I'm staying in, I decide to eavesdrop on their conversation.
"We still don't know if we can trust her, CJ!"
"That means we don't know if we can't trust her, Andy"
"Just wait until she stabs us in the back! Then will you believe me? I'm telling you she's hiding something and I'm not trusting her until I know for sure she's safe to be around!"
"Fine, you can continue to close yourself off from her like you do everyone else!"
I hear Andrew storm out and I decide I'm gonna sneak out. I need to buy a few things anyway.

I go to the back door of the house and head to the nearest clothing shop. After I'm done there, I decide to cut my hair so it's harder to recognize me if Seth's soldiers come looking for me. Next, I find a tree to sit under and think. I feel Slade trying to get in my mind already and I'm shoving him out as best as I can. Eventually, I win. I guess He stopped trying, for now.

Meanwhile, In the Void Castle...
Slade's POV
"I can't reach her, Seth," I say, "I think she's trying to push me out."
"Try harder," he says, in the same weird tone he's been talking in all day.
"I can't, She's stronger than I am right now." Angel's and my powers have always been somewhat equal. It depends on how much energy we have at the time. I've been using my magic since Seth woke me, so she has more energy right now.
"Do I have to do EVERYTHING around here?!" Seth yells.
"N-no I-I-I'll try harder" I reply, fearing my brother for the first time in years
"Good," Seth says as he leaves the room. I try to reach Angel again

In the Overworld...
Angel's POV
As I walk back, I feel Slade trying to reach me again. This time, I give in.
Finally. I've been trying to reach you all day you know
I know, I was blocking you. I really don't want to think about home right now
Where ARE you?
I took the portal to the overworld, I'm in Frostkeep Village
He was that bad?
Seth's never acted like this before, Slade. I would expect this from you but not him. Since you were trying so hard, I'm guessing he's gotten worse?
He's bad, Angel. He's yelled at Chase, hit Ryker, and forced me to drain all my energy trying to reach you. I think you need to come back.
That's not going to help. He's going to get worse until he proves himself. David told me. I'm going to stay away from home until he's ready. I can't face another hardship in the family right now. Tell the younger two that I'm okay.
Okay...
Bye Slade. Love you
Love you too...
I feel Slade stop and I get up since we both fall down when we share each other's thoughts. We're really special compared to the entire rest of the royal family. We're the only recorded set of twins, making us absolute wild cards when it comes to magic and abilities. Usually, our sorcerers can guess, but we're linked, so it's really hard to tell what'll happen when we come of age. Some think we'll just get another set of abilities. Others think multiple different things. I could care less either way. I just want us to live.

"Angel!" I hear CJ calling to me from the house. She runs up to me and hugs me tight. "Do you have any idea how long you've been gone?! You could've died!"
"I'm fine, CJ. I just thought it would be a good idea to freshen up a bit," gesturing to the clothes and hair being changed. She looks me up and down.
"I like it!" She finally says after about 5 minutes. We walk back to the house. Andrews there, sharpening his and CJ's swords. He gives me a dark look as I walk by. I sit down on one of the chairs across the room.
"Why don't you carry a weapon, Angel?" Andrew asks, breaking the silence.
"I don't need one, " I reply casually, " I practice magic."
"Really?!" CJ's eyes light up. " Can I see?" She asks.
"Sure, but I'm not very good." I light a little fire in my hand and weave it around the room. CJ watches intently as the flames dance around the room, creating intricate designs. I slowly let it dwindle, my energy draining.
"That's pretty skilled, in my opinion, " Andrew says, still not taking his eyes off the sword in his hand.
"I practice a lot, " I reply, smirking at him
Knock, knock
I get up to answer the door. Levis there, along with Reid. They ask how the house is working out for us.
"Fine, " I answer.
"Good, " Levi says. " Do you guys think you could come to the plaza later?"
"Sure, " CJ says, "Why?"
"We're sort of having a 'Welcome to Frostkeep' party for you guys."
"Yeah, we'll come, " CJ says. Andrew glares at her. She elbows him 'subtlety.' He winces, glares at her for a couple seconds, then continues to sharpen the sword.

A few hours later

We walk into the plaza and instantly get trampled by the townspeople. All three of us fall on the ground. The crowd helps us up very quickly and pretty much carry us to the center. Absolutely everyone is cheering and the joy is contagious. Everything eventually settles down and Levi's father comes out and gives a huge speech and announcements about various things. After a few long hours of partying and making new friends, I get tired.
I try to escape from the huge crowd to go back home and notice Havira sneaking around. I follow her to a huge mansion a few miles from the party. I watch her open the door and dash to grab it before it closes. I sneak inside and close the door quietly. The place is huge, so I need to look around before I find her in a room very much like the one I first came to this dimension in. She nods to the "guards" and walks into one of the cell-looking areas.
I vaguely see a flash of blue light behind the door before the guards notice me and start to chase me. I make a small fireball in my hand and launch it at them as they rush towards me. There is a minor explosion as I dart for the door and then back to the plaza. They stop chasing me about halfway through.
I almost reach the house, still running, when I finally realize that she went through a portal. But the thing is, neither The Void portals nor The Inferno portals emit a blue light when entered. So either I am delusional, or she went to a dimension unknown to me or the millions of books I read in my 16 years of confinement in the castle.

Author's note:
Hello everyone! I realize it's been forever since I updated this story and I apologize. I've been really busy with high school and stuff, so I haven't had much time to write. I, as always, hope to get this story updated faster. Yet again, no promises, because I'm just really bad at remembering to write. I have been working on a few other stories, but only one has been officially released. I apologize again for the slow updates. Ta-ta for now, my little halos!
