Author's Notes: Why am I posting this as a separate story? Well it is, sort of. It takes on a different path over than Serah getting over the trauma quickly. If you have already read the original, I suggest you skip to page 3 already. The first two are basically the same as the original with some tweaks here and there.
I honestly found the original was... Too short, and it was over too quickly. And I got motivated by my friends over at a different area who have read the original and thought I should have done it differently, and so this happened.

I open my eyes to the same treacherous room I had been in for who-knows-when. There are no windows, nor lights, but the room is illuminated by torches. I can't move because my hands and feet were tied, I couldn't speak because I have a cloth over my mouth.
Even if I could move, my feet felt numb and tired. I just... want this nightmare to end. Wanna know why? I've been here for who-knows-how-long, I've been violated in ways more than one, and yet I'm still worrying that they're gonna do something else to me. Why am I here you ask? Well, everything seemed fine for me, until that day...

"Hey mom! Where's my hairpin?" I shouted down to mom as it was already around 7:41 in the morning, if I'm late for school I'm screwed.
"In your drawer dear!" Alas, I found it. I clipped it onto my hair and ran down the stairs, but not before grabbing my school bag, where I found my two sisters, one elder and one younger, waiting for me outside the door.
"How long does it take for you to get ready Serah?" Laura, my older sister. She tends to ask me that every time that I am late. And that's even barely.
"Sorry, hairpin." I said it in an apologetic way and let out a little smile at the end just to wrap it up.
"OK fine." Sighing, she headed for the bus stop without waiting for me or Carla, my younger sister.
"Big sis is right Serah! You take too long." Oh man, even Carla is lecturing me about this. I must be really late for her to do this to me.
"Alright fine you little brat, let's get a move on." I said the brat part jokingly to avoid hurting her in a way, she's only 11 you know? We headed for the bus stop where Laura was already at.
"I just noticed, it's a little hot today isn't it?" It's hard to get a conversation started with Laura, as she's always serious.
"Yeah, summer must be close by." Today was March 28 if I'm correct. We only have like a couple of months left before the summer break.
"The bus is here!"

The bus ride is nothing special, but it definitely was slow. It's already 7:59 and we barely got inside if not for Carla, who explained why we were late to the school guards. She's 11, and they'll probably listen to whatever she says.
I apologized for my lateness to the teacher and he didn't really mind much, seeing as I'm the second best in class. Only losing to him... Matt. Matt's been my rival if you can call him that. We've been competing against each other in different contests, quiz bees, and more. With me losing in majority. I can't say I have any feelings for him, except being the fact that we're friends outside those said contests.
It's 12:00, and I'm anxious to know who got the highest in our previous test. Everybody else got to know where they were on the list, me and Matt waited in the back until the commotion cleared.
"Looks like I win again Serah." Matt was seriously gonna gloat over this until later today, which doesn't really bug me, as I got used to it since our 20th contest.
