(ABOVE IS A PICTURE OF KAYDEN AKA EMILIA CLArke)

☪☪☪

We met when I was working at a pizza place in a busy mall. He asked me my name and gave me his number, but I didn't know he would give me more than that, and neither did he.

I walked up the steps of Luke Hemming's house, dreading this situation already. I knocked on the door, and he answered with a big smile. We've been seeing each other for the past month, but didn't label our relationship.

"Kayden! Hi! I wasn't expecting you, what's up?"

"Luke, I have something to tell you. Can we sit down?" I asked, looking everywhere but his eyes.

"Yeah, sure, babe." I cringed at the word, knowing it will be all over soon.

After we got into his room, I took a deep breath. "Luke, I-I'm pregnant." I blurted, and he looked shocked.

"What? How did this happen?"

"We both know how it happened." I said tiredly.

"Kay, this is great!" He exclaimed after a minute of silence.

"No," I said, choking back a sob. "It's not great, Luke, we're seventeen, and I-I-I'm just not ready for this."

"I can get us through this! We can figure this out!" He pleaded.

I knew what I had to do, and I already made the plans. I told him how once I found out, I told my parents, who both had different reactions. My dad told me he supported me, and my mom told me that she was so disappointed in me, she couldn't even look at me anymore. What hurt the most was that she bought me a plain ticket to New York City and I was leaving in a week. She bought me an apartment and told me that she would pay for the first six months, but once I had a job and was working, she would stop supplying me with anything. I got over it after a few days, and I knew it was for the best. But now, here I am, one day before leaving and I forgot to tell Luke what was going on.

"Kayden," He croaked. "You can't do this to me. Don't leave."

I sighed and turned away. "You don't mean anything you're saying. You'll forget I ever existed and I'm not going to burden you with my problem. Bye Luke." I ran down the stairs and back to my car.

"Goodbye Kayden." My mother said in a monotone.

"You're going to regret pushing me away like this. I'm you're only hope of passing the family name down to future generations and my child won't even have a grandma." I told her as she, my dad, and I walked to the terminal.

"Kayden. Don't be like this." She sighed. My dad rubbed my back soothingly, knowing that I was about to have a panic attack.

"You're making me like this." I deadpanned.

"Calm down girls." My dad said.

"Marie, just leave." I told my so-called 'mom'.

"Fine. David, I'll be in the car." Marie said, turning away from us. "Goodbye Kayden. Have a nice time in New York City."

My flight was called, and I grew anxious. When I was thirteen, I witnessed a plane crash, and since then, I've been hesitant about flying. My dad and I said our goodbyes and I headed to the boarding line. I smiled at the attendant, handing her my ticket, and she let me through. Lucky for me, I was seated first class and only had to sit next to one person.

I got to my row and opened the overhead compartment. I struggled to get my carry-on suitcase over my head, and felt someone behind me. About a second after, the person lifted my suitcase into the compartment. I looked behind me to be met with a pair of gorgeous hazel eyes.
