chapter one

I'm the girl who always sits in the back corner of the classroom gazing out the window. I don't have any friends I'm the girl who always has headphones in, I'm the girl who shuts the whole world out. People always stare at me when I walk by but I pretend like I don't notice. They laugh because I'm the girl who sits alone at lunch, I'm the girl who gets straight A's, and I'm the girl who spends my spare time sitting on a sidewalk strumming a guitar because I have nowhere else to go and no one to talk to. But how would they know that my parents are always fighting and never stop long enough to notice me. They don't understand and that's why I don't get mad when people make fun of me for being myself. Me and my brother Ryan used to hang out when our parents were fighting. He would teach me how to hold the guitar properly and how to play the notes, but as soon as he graduated he left for college so now it's just me and the beautiful old guitar. this is not just a depressing story about a lonely school girl who is anti social this story is about a girl who became an inspiration, this is a love story about how I finally made a friend and fell in love with him, and this is the story of how I fought a war alone and made it. This is not a story of failure this is a story of accomplishments and I am proud to tell this story to you. Because this is life.
