Never forget

part 1

It’s the end of the schoolday and my typical Ruby shows up at the doorway. 

„Luce, do you have plans this afternoon? No? Okay, let’s go!” She pulls at my hand, but I jerk away. I stand still in the hall and stare at her. 

„Where are we going?” It sounds very tired out of my mouth. Suddenly she gave me a very angry look, but that didn’t last long. 

„To the mall, I want to buy a dress for the upcoming prom night. Maybe you should look for one too!” She giggles afterwards at my confused face. She takes my hand again and pulls me with her. 

„No time to talk, we must shop!” And with that the conversation ended and her thoughts could not be changed anymore. 

After a small walk through the mall, we stranded in the most expensive shop of the whole building. There were dresses everywhere and all those colors, I thought I was going to explode. The worst thing of the whole situation was me sitting on a little chair with Ruby trying the complete store on herself, or at least it felt like the whole store. I was bored to death, but then, suddenly, there was that man. I don’t know why, but he attracted my attention. It’s not that he was special or  anything, it’s just that … it’s a man, in a dress store, alone. 

„So, what do you think?” She asks while she puts her dress right. I look at her confused and I nodded. 

„Yeah, yea, that one looks good on you.” She turns around and trips over her feet, but she doesn’t fall. That one man, I saw earlier, stands there with his hands on her arm. How did he get there without me noticing? 

„Watch out my young lady, this floor is slippy.” My friend gazes in his eyes. She stuttered a thank you. He smiled and walked away, when he was a few steps away I could hear him say 

„ See you tomorrow, my ladies.” We stood there confused about what happened and didn’t know how to react.
