Letters to Grace.
NOTICE – FRED AND LOCKWOOD ARE THE SAME PERSON…HIS NAME IS FRED LOCKWOOD. (Sometimes Martin (jones) likes to call him Lockwood.)
“Wait, sir please!” I shouted to the Sergeant.
“You will be quiet Privet.” He shouted back angrily.
“But we can’t do this!” I shouted back in frustration.
“You will do as I say Privet, no questions asked. That was what you agreed to when you joined and that’s what you will follow.” He snapped, he stood tall over me glairing down, the sweat on his face shinning in the bright lights.
“Yes sir.” I said sighing. I snapped the heels of my feet together and saluted him respectfully. With that I turned and left the room.
This is ridicules. I wish I’d never agreed to any of this.
3 year earlier.
Jones. Martin Jones.
Nah to James bond.
Hi my names Martin, what’s yours?
Nah, to simple.
Hi, I’m Martin, you might remember me…no…we went to primary school together…still nothing…
That’s more likely.
“Jones?”
“Yeah?” I sighed. I’m never going to have the guts to do anything in my life.
“You, look terrible…are you ok?” Fred asked next to me.
“Yeah…just thinking over how pathetic I am,” I explained.
“Jones! Do you want me to punch you?” He said shaking his head at me disapprovingly.
“Look Lockwood…” I began.
“Look Lockwood, what?” Fred said smirking at me.
“Shut up Fred.” I said plainly.
“Still thinking about Grace?”
Note to self…Lockwood knows you too well.
But I suppose he would after 10 years.
“Yep.” I said rubbing my forehead.
“Just go and talk to her! Nothings bad can come of it. If she rejects you, ah well. I know a girl that will rock your world…you don’t need Grace.” Lockwood said casually.
“Fred!” I shouted a little too loudly. Lucky we weren’t in a public place.
We we’re sat in front of my TV, playing call of duty. If always found the Army to be interesting. I’d been a part of cadets, the moment I was old enough to sign up. Everything about it intrigues me. Every one need a passion. And this…well this is mine.
“Look I’m not looking for a girl that I can shag and then leave. I really like Grace.” I said pausing the game to frown at him angrily.
“You’ve never even spoken to her! How can you really like her, if you’ve never even said a word to her? What your suffering from his attraction my friend, animal attraction.” Fred stated. He seemed to believe that what he was saying was right. But he doesn’t really care for relationships or anything like love…he calls it a heap of horse crap.
