"Lady Gaga, we are ready for you."

As soon as I hear my name, I stand up and start walking to the room where the auditions are held. I am not as nervous as before, but am still a little bit scared. When I walk through the doors, I look around. There are about 5 men in here, one of which is Bradley.

"Hello Lady Gaga we are going to get started. First we would like you to recite the script." Says a middle aged man with dark brown eyes. He has a very unpleasant look on his face and I can tell this will be a harder audition.

"Okay, you just want me to start from the beginning?" I question.

"Yes, I suppose that will be good." He responds.

"Alright," I say, starting to freak out a bit. This is my one chance and if I blow it this is all over. It just makes it harder when a guy like him is here. Well here goes nothing.

"Jackson! You jealous fuck. Why you so jealous boy? hmm?" I say while reading off the first highlighted line from the script.

"Okay, I suppose that was good, now onto the next scene." The same man says to me.

"I can't go to Memphis with you Jackson. Rez wants to keep me here to finish out the album! He really likes what I'm doing and wants the people to hear it sooner." I recite from the script. I think I'm doing okay but you can never be so sure.

"Okay that is all we will be needing from the script. Now we will move onto the song." The middle aged man tells me.

"Will I be singing Shallow?" I ask.

"Yes, this song is sort of the story of the movie." He says.

"Okay," I hum the tune and then the music starts to play, "Tell me something boy. Aren't you tired trying to fill that void. Or do you need more. Is there something else your searching for? I'm falling, in all the good times I find my self longing, for change, and in the bad times I fear myself. I'm off the deep end watch as I dive in , I'll never meet the ground. Crash through the surface where they can't hurt us, we're far from the shallow now." I sing with a very powerful voice. He was right, this song does mean a lot, it tells a story.

"Thank you Ms. Gaga, very well sung. You are finished for the day. By the way, my name is Frank." He says.

"Bye Frank!" I say as I'm walking out the door. I'm actually very happy with my performance in there. I did much better than I thought I would.

Just then I get a text from Bradley telling me to meet him at the coffee shop on 67th road in 45 minutes. He just has a couple more auditions left and then he will be on his way. I am excited that Bradley remembered that we had talked about this, I didn't know if he would. I get to my car and apply some lipstick. I decide that since I have 45 minutes, I might as well do something. I can't go home since I live about 30 minutes away, so I decide to drive around the city for a little bit. I'm not very familiar with this part of town and it will be cool to explore.

About 30 minutes later I get a text from Bradley saying the auditions ended earlier than he thought and he is on the way to the coffee shop. I'm not worried since I'm only about 10 minutes away. I've had fun exploring the city, there were some really cool statues and buildings around the town.

I arrive at the coffee shop and see that Bradley is already there. I make my way inside and sit down at the table he is at.

"Hey Stefani. Your audition was really good, everyone loved you." Bradley says, making me blush. I didn't ever think I would be hearing that coming from him.

"Thanks. I didn't know what to except. I couldn't tell if everyone in there liked me that much." I respond truthfully, remembering my
first thoughts about Frank.

"Oh no, everyone loved you so much. I guess that's why you...got the part!" Bradley exclaims.

"Oh my gosh! Seriously? I can't believe this." I shout out excitedly as I jump up to hug Bradley. He hugs me back and it may be one of the best hugs I've had in a long time.

"Yes. Rehearsals will begin on Monday and we are so excited to have you joining this journey." Bradley tells me as we sit back down.

"Well I am so thankful that you chose me to do this."

"You were by far the best option. The other girls were good but none came close to you." He explains to me.

"Oh, thanks I guess. Well enough about me, let's hear about you." I say, changing the subject. I don't really like talking about myself much.

"Okay. What do you want to know?" Bradley asks me.

"Hmm. Where are you from?" I question.

"New York. My entire family is from the East coast. My family is Italian too." Bradley explains to me.

"Seriously? Me too! That is so weird."

"Yeah, being Italian is a big thing in my family." He tells me.

"Same with me, that's why in interviews or anything like that, when I have the chance to mention that I do." I tell Bradley.

"That's actually a good idea, I may start doing that too."

At that moment I get a text from my mom saying that my little sister has been in an accident and I need to come to the hospital now.

"Um Bradley I'm so sorry but my little sister has been in an accident and I need to get to the hospital now." I say very worried.

"I'm so sorry, I can come with you if you want." He says.

"Sure, we just need to leave now." I basically shout, as I run out of the shop and to my car.

"Right behind you!" I hear Bradley yell.
