Lily Luna Goes Back In Time

Prologue

Dark red hair flowing behind her, Lily Luna Potter rushed down the corridors of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and into the Great Hall. Plonking down, she scattered library books over the polished wooden bench and opened her bag, taking out a spindly chain and placing lightly on top of the books. 

Turning around, she saw the person she was waiting for, one of her older brothers. Albus Severus, named after the two greatest Headmasters the school had ever seen, came into the hall surrounded by his Slytherin friends. Parting from his friends after seeing the look on his younger sister's Gryffindor face, he slid onto the bench and beside her. 

"Hey lils, what's up?" Albus asked, looking at all of the books scattered down on the table. 

"I've been researching in the-"

"Library, I guess," Albus finished knowingly, while reading some of the books on the table, "The Effects of time travel? And- Wait, Lily...Is this a timeturner?!" Albus exclaimed shocked, lifting it up and dangling it in fron of his green eyes.

"Blimey what have you been up to?" Albus was going to continue, but Lily was getting impatient.

"Albus! Maybe if you'd have listened to me, you would know that I got that tImeturner in your hand from Aunt Hermione.Honestly, you must have had too much time with Mum...She's always interrupting people," She muttered the last part more to herself. "I've been researching time and I've come up with a wonderful idea!"

"Lily, if this is the same bogus idea that 'We can travel back in time and save people's lives' It. Wouldn't. Work! You know that a timeturner can only go back-"

"Eight hours, I know! I just said I'd been researching! This," She snatched the gold timeturner out of Albus' hands, and held in close to his face, shaking it with every word," This isn't an ordinary timeturner! It's been modified to go back and forward in time, years also!"

"That's not possible,it's just not." Albus muttered, shaking his head and looking down at the table. Looking up into Lily's big brown eyes, he put a hand through his messy, jet-black hair. 

"What would happen if Dad found out, huh? He'd be so angry, and tell you messing with time is wrong! Especially to get back his losses!"

"It's not just for him! It's for all of us...Imagine Teddy would have a father, grandfather, Dad would have his parents and Godfather! We would have grandparents, and if we can do it, Great-grandparents! Don't you see how good it would be of everyone!?" Lily tried to explain.

"Lily! You can't just go around playing God! What would happen if Dad didn't defeat Voldemort? Or marry Mum! Imagine if he befriended Malfoy!" 

"I think it would have caused him to get in less trouble," Lily sniffed, glaring at her brother.

"Why did you tell me if you knew I wouldn't like the idea anyway?" Albus asked frowning. Lily rolled her eyes, boys could be so daft sometimes.

"I knew you wouldn't like it, but you have to, you are obliged to-to...umm...help me! I mean you are my brother." Looking pleadingly into Albus' bright eyes.

"But," Albus paused, realising there was no valid arguement, or trying to convice a very subborn Lily not to time travel he sighed, and said to her, "Who do you want to save first, war hero?"
