Chains clanked against each other as the beast lumbered into the forest, eerily silent. Above him the sky was a mass of dark gray, not letting a trace of sun seep through from the clouds. Well, there was no sun. As far as his senses told him it was the afternoon and it was going to start raining in a few minutes. He could smell the scent of freshness coming his direction, fast, and his sensitive ears picked up the distant snarl of thunder. Fog hung heavy in the air and was reluctant to part for him, but with a growl he pushed through them, scowling. Something loomed out, a foggy outline of something big, and he halted, studying it warily, crimson optics narrowed in suspicion. The mist cleared slightly and he visibly relaxed as he saw that the thing was a dead tree. He chuckled nervously, a dark sound. A shadow whizzed past his head, would have clipped his ear had he not leapt out of the way. As soon as he landed he spun, a snarl bursting from his throat, and came face to face with a panther. The males icy blue optics gazed at him calmly. Overkill took a cautious step back. They looked exactly like Baby's. They had that sort of inviting look in them that said I'm calm, give me a hug. Overkill had been living with Baby long enough to be able to resist his charm, but even still he was pulled forward. This animal was stronger than his sister in magic, that made Over nervous. And he saw shadows, coiling around his body and wrapping around his muscles and fitting them like a second skin.
Overkill had to admit, he was jealous. Just a bit.
"And you are?" He asked the male, shaking out one paw after another, the chains on his ankles clanking against each other then the sound dying out as they hit the floor with a dull thud.
The panther sighed, and Overkill was yet again surprised as to how similar he was to Baby.
