Chapter 2

Audrey continued look a the message, with a bit of nervousness, Audrey continued into the house. MidMoon followed next to Audrey as she searched around. All she found was, a red locket, and 3 slices of pie. Audrey ate a peice of pie, and found a key in it. The key opened the gate down to the basement. Audrey walked threw the basment hallway, and at the end only found a pile of dust and two doors. Audrey expected her to come across something eventually, so she pulled out her knife. Audrey walked threw the doors, and down a dusty hallway, as if it had been abandoned for decades. Audrey pushed open another set of doors and started to feel her entire body freeze like ice. It was so cold that even with fur, MidMoon jumped into Audrey's bookbag and used his paw to zip the bookbag. Audrey mumbled, "So you get to be warm while I have to suffer..?". As Audrey was beginning to collapse from the cold, before she fainted, all she heard were soft footsteps and voices. Audrey awoke in a room, on a bed. Somehow, MidMoon was already on a cat bed, next to a white dog with pink spots. Audrey sat up and heard voices below her. She opened the door and went down the stairs and peeked into a room. She saw a little girl drawing, while talking to a skeleton. Audrey thought she had been kidnapped or something, but seeing there was a child here too, and looking so happy she knew she had most likely been saved from dying of hyperthermia. Audrey took a deep breath, about to walk into the room and greet the 2, the skeleton looked up and instantly noticed Audrey. The skeleton pushed his feet, after all being scared that Audrey was watching them the entire time, and the skeleton fell backward onto the ground. Audrey quickly ran away to go grab her things, she didn't want to stick around. She grabbed her bag out of the room she awoke in and put MidMoon in the bag and tried to run down the stairs, but was blocked by the little girl. Audrey tried to back away, but the girl pulled out her paintbrush and created a wall behind Audrey. "Hey, hey, calm down, we're trying to help!", the child said, trying to keep a calm voice.
