Okay so, the title is a bit of a lie as this story isn't ten days before Christmas, but it is ten days before a Christmas break up party. But you have to admit, Ten days before Christmas sounds way better than, Ten days before Christmas breakup. Anyway, enough of me ranting on about useless topics, enjoy!
Night of the party
I can't believe I trusted him
I think to myself as I run out of the party that I mistakingly said yes too with Logan chasing after me, begging for me to listen. I can't and won't though, not after what I just saw.
"Joe Anne, please" he yells getting closer, but I keep running. I make it to my car with my hand on the door when he finally catches up. He gently places his hand on mine, his touch sending electric butterflies in my stomach, giving me both the feeling of floating and someone staying me in the back, which he did.
"Sweetie pie, please, listen."
I wish I never told him about that nameSorry, where is my manners, this is no where to start a story like this. Confused as to what let to this point? Confused? A little intrigued? Good. Don't worry, I won't let you stay there for too much longer, let me go back to where all this started, 10 days ago.
Day one
Joe-Anne
"come on, you have to come."
"No, do you remember the last time I went to a party?" I say while unlocking my locker
"Okay, I promise that there wont be any milk or pineapple. Now you have to go."
"No thank you Diana, besides, I already promised Rick that I would watch a Christmas movie with him. Just the two of us, we haven't been able to do that in years."
"Just drag him along, the more the merrier, please."
"And risk having Samantha Martha's slimy hands all over him? I'll pass.'
"Shes not even invited."
"The answer is still no."
"Please, I'll do anything."
"No."
"Anything"
"Fine, if you sing jingle bell rock in front of the whole school, dance to it the same way the mean girls did and wear the costumes, I'll go. "
"Okay, anything but that."
"No, it has to be that or I'm not going."
Diana lookes at me in the eye, I look her in the eye then she leaves. I close my locker and start heading to class.
"Hey hottie." Says my absolute favourite person in the school, Rick Smith, my twin. You didn't think he was my boyfriend, did you? Many people say I'm pretty and good looking, but he is hands down, the better-looking twin. But I'm the better twin.
"Hey handsome."
"How are you and you know who?"
"Seriously Rick, you've been trying to get Logan and I together since grade 2. Give it up already, if something were going to happen, it would've already."
"He really does like you though."
"But I dont like him, and anyway, last time I believed you when you said that, I got hurt way too much. I am not going through that again." That was a lie, I really do like him, but like I said, I got hurt by him once, and once is enough.
