I know under all those layers there was a little boy who was frightened
A little boy who was never shown kindness
Beaten down by the world and taught that defense is the only way to survive
Taught to guard your heart against everyone and everything
Taught that the world is a toxic loveless unsafe hell
You were afraid of this world
