"From the beginning I met you I fell in love and I've never been able to get out of it no matter how hard I tried. I wish this wasnt the end of your life I wish the end was as we both were old and dying together. I will never find someone better than you. I love you with everything in me. This speech is a mess but I just need this to be said. I hope you know that everything I do from now on is for you. I love you and I will miss you forever. We will meet again one day goodbye" Zach says with tears streaming down his eyes. He kisses her lips knowing this will be the last time
"Zachy?" A groggy voice calls breaking him out of his sadness
"OH MY GOD!!!! DANIEL COME HERE"
Daniel rushes over to his side and sees Julia's eyes open
"Wh-where am I?" She asks
"The hospital you-you tried to commit suicide"
"But I'm alive. Right?"
"Yes, Yes you are"
Daniel leaves the room to get a nurse and Zach stays clutching her hand
"Are we together?" She asks Zach looking at their hands
"Yes we are. I was afraid I lost you"
"Well I'm right here okay" she says smiling
"I love you so mu-"
"-sir you have to leave we have to check her"
"O-okay"
"Zach, no I need you" Julia pleads
"Ma'am he has to leave"
"N-no he cant I need him. I won't let you touch me unless he's with me"
"Okay he can stay but only for a few minutes"
"Okay"
He stays in the room as they check Julia
They ask a few questions and declare that she is depressed
"What do we do" Daniel asks the doctor
"She can go home next week. Two months before she can go back to school. Never take your eye off her. Make sure she is never alone and she can not be near any sharp objects. Anything can trigger her and cause her to go into a suicidal headspace. Feed her often. Be there for her whenever she needs you"
"okay"
"You can stay with her or you can leave it's up to you. I wish the best for you and your family" the doctor leaves the room
"So what am I prisoner now" she halfheartedly laughs
"Don't joke about this. You could've died"
"But I didn't isnt that worth celebrating"
"Baby, what your brother is trying to say is we're happy you're alive and don't like you being sad and making bad comments"
"I'm sorry" she whispers to Zach
"It's okay"
"Can Zach stay here with me tonight?" She asks Daniel
"It's up to him"
"Zachy"
"Of course"
"I'm going to go home now call me in the morning"
Daniel leaves the room and Zach gets in the hospital bed with Julia
"I'm sorry to be a disappointment" she whispers
"You are definitely not a disappointment your life was crumbling in front of your eyes. I would've broke down too maybe not done what you did but still you are not a disappointment"
"Did you see me"
"Yes I did unfortunately. You needed me. You made your brother get me and it broke my heart seeing you like that. Laying on the cold floor just in your brothers arms surrounded by your own blood crying for me. And then in the hospital bed laying lifeless broke me"
"I'm so sorry I hurt you" she starts to sob but he stops her by stroking her hair
"Shh you didn't hurt me. You didn't do anything wrong. I wasn't there for you when you needed me the most but you're here now and you're going to get better. I am going to be here every step of the way don't you worry"
"I love you"
"I love you more"
