walking down the streets of Seoul, I guess I could say that my night was pretty calm.

friday, the 9th of November, I was finally off work for the week and I felt free.

my job at the studio was killing me and my schedule has been hectic these past few days.

luckily, fridays always save me from all the stress.

just like any other friday of my life in Seoul, I would always go on an up all night movie marathon all by myself and I would never forget to visit the convenience store to buy myself a pack of yogurt and a few bags of chips before I get home.

today, I woke up to the sound of something falling on the floor very loudly from the room above mine. I immediately went to the landlord of the apartment and was told that it was just a mere accident.

not pushing further into the topic, I made my way out of the landlord's unit and went back to mine.

I silently chuckle at my paranoid self earlier this day and continued my way to the convenience store.

I glance at my wrist watch, "9:59 pm." I was right on time.

by the time my watch hit 10 o'clock, I entered the convenience store with a ringing sound from the bell and greet Jeonghan, the night shift cashier of the convenient store.

I've been friends with him for three years now.

"Good evening Hyun-ah. How was your day today?"

"Pretty normal. I actually completed the lyrics of my song today. How about you?"

"Also fine. I actually spent most of my day asleep. Getting a long speech of scolding from my roommate, I could say that this day was fun."

I laughed at his words. "Well then, just gonna grab some stuff."

I walked over to the fridge at the back of the store and grabbed a pack of my favorite strawberry yogurt.

then next I also collected a few bags of my favorite chips.

passing by the ramen isle, a specific pack of noodles caught my attention.

unable to resist my sudden crave, I sighed and walked over to the pack and grabbed it. "Only for tonight."

I hugged the pack to my chest and kissed it.

hearing a chuckle from beside me, I gave the person a quick glance and a pair of blue eyes met my gaze.

I immediately look away and walk over to Jeonghan.

"Here are my weekly groceries."

He gives me a breathy laugh and starts packing my stuff.

"Oh, would you look at that. Why buy a pack of ramen? I don't remember this to be part of your friday-night groceries."

"Oh shut up. It's only for tonight."

"Okay then. ₩4,783.74 for everything."

I hand him my money and handled the plastic.

he simply gave me my change and smiled.

"Enjoy movie night Dahyun."

"Sure. And hey, I heard the company is holding an audition next week friday at noon. I thought maybe you wanted to check it out? I've heard you sing before and you sound amazing."

"I'm not sure about that dongsaeng. I don't really feel that confident about my voice."

"Believe me or not, you almost sound like a professional singer. With a little bit of training, you can really be an idol!"

"I'll think about it." He smiles.

"Think carefully then. Good night!" I gave him a slight bow and leave the store.

while walking down the street back to the apartment, my mind flew to the slightly familiar blue eyes I met.

they were intimidating, captivating, they looked as if you would drown in a lost ocean and you wouldn't have the chance to reach back up for air.

oh wow, I'm being poetic all of a sudden.

sighing, I unlocked the door and went to my room, changing into my pyjamas and setting up the laptop for my marathon.
