On weekends, usually the whole group goes out to Jelani's Coffee. After that, we left for Felt Rose Mall, and then we'd go to Kaz's huge house and have a sleepover. This week was different. Kaz decided that we all were going to her parent's gala that was held every three years.
We all went to Jelani's Coffee as usual, and we did go to the mall, too, we just had a gala in between, and then we were going to have a sleepover.
The first time I met the girls, it was at my parents annual dinner party. Our parents all worked at the same company. Kaz's parents as the CEO's, my parents as the COO's, and it goes on and on.
Mila was the innocent one of the group that took no ones side but hers. She was a brunette with dark skin and brown eyes. Her outfit choices were always top fashion. Her parents were the only ones who didn't work at Kaz's parents company. They worked at their own company which was just as successful as Kaz's.
Liz was pretty much Kaz's pet. If someone ever fought Kaz, Liz would be the first one to scream at the opponent. She was a red head that had green eyes. Her clothing style was just as bad as her attitude, and I never liked her, even though Liz liked Eden.
Then we have the twins, Miley and Destiny. They looked exactly alike and had complete different personalities. Destiny was the only one that actually had a heart. Miley was the one who would crush anyone just to get her personality. She probably was using the group to be honest. Their pretty tan skin tone looked perfect with their blonde hair and blue eyes.
Last of all, we have the queen bee. Kazlyn Evans. The premium blonde queen. Everyone loved her, since she acted nice the whole time, but I know the real her. In freshmen year, she blackmailed a poor girl to hiding when she talked to her five week crush, and she said that it was "mandatory."
Currently, I'm at Kaz's house putting on my Parker designed dress on. The whole group decided we could wear designer, and Kaz decided she had to wear a thousand dollar dress while the rest of us wore a dress under five hundred. Her choice was a Tarika Matte Dress made by Hohan while I wore a simple Parker Black Roxanne Dress with a bear coat.
By the time we were all done with dressing up, we still had to do makeup and hair and accessories. Kaz insisted that she'd do my hair since it was the "thinnest." "Eden, you should get you hair dyed to light brown on the tips. Your brown is too pretty to just be brown." Kaz giggled.
When she decided that I was finished, I was covered in beauty. If there's one thing I can like Kaz for, its that her fashion that she gives me is actually better than better. I was currently in a bun with two strands of curly hair sticking out on the bottom. Kaz said that I should have blue eyeshadow and light pink lipstick with light blush.
Destiny and Miley decided to bring their parents old jewelry that were useless to them. We all chose things, and I chose bangle made with real diamonds, a diamond necklace, and diamond earrings. I was choosing a diamond theme.
"Liz, hon! Mom just called me and told me that your dad wants to meet you! Go down!" Miley demanded.
Checking the clock, we had exactly ten minutes until we had to go down. The gala already started, but we had to make an entrance. It was Queen Kazlyn Evans idea, of course.

Soon, it was seven o'clock. We all went down, Kaz and me in the middle, Destiny, Miley, and Mila on the outsides. "Girls, when we open those doors, there will be a loud bang. Everyone will be looking at our dresses. We'll walk down the stairs like Cinderella did, except we will be the group of Cinderella's!" Kaz said with her dramatic voice.
That was it. When we opened the doors, there was a bang. Everyone did look, and they gasped, mumbling on how beautiful they were. It was exactly what we thought it was going to be. Honestly, it was boring.
"Eden! Eden," I heard from behind, "I love your dress!" It was Jenna Weston, another Elmend student.
Jenna's parents worked for the weather channel on Channel 55. My parents worked with her parents, and they were the most annoying and cocky ones yet.
"I have a few questions on this gala. Headmaster Lind said it would be perfect to do a paper on this. The Silver Lining would become extra spectacular if we did. First question! What are you are you and your crazy five wearing? Designer? Second question! Why is this gala even happening? Third question! If..."
This was truly not a good night.

By ten, I left the main room for a nice garden scene with a glass pool in the middle. It was off-limits, but I had the code to get in. Typing the code in the little code putter thing, it opens. Kaz always insists that we leave a swimsuit in the storage along with towels.
Opening the storage, I zipped down the zipper and put on my navy blue one piece swimsuit with an open back pattern. Grabbing a towel, I put it over me even though it wasn't cold. Actually, it was hotter than usual.
Walking out of the storage, which was way bigger and prettier than my dogs doghouse (we spoil him way too much), I could see the moon shimmering.
Before my younger sister died, she and I would always sneak out the house. We'd climb the fence of our backyard and see the big oak tree. Usually we'd bring snacks and climb the tree and see the moon shimmering on the little pool of water (decorated as a lake by my parents architectures).
My sister was eleven when she died. She was the definition of a dreamer, and anything she dreamed of, she was able to do it. Her top dream was to become to an actress and then get into the musical theatre business, and she probably could. If I could define her talent, it would be too hard to explain. The voice she was given was like a feather, until she died.
The night of her death got my brother and me worse than my parents. Our parents never hung out with Maggie, so they didn't really know what to do. Even though our parents liked Greyson and me, they thought that Maggie was a dreamer. Dreamer's don't do anything, was what my parents always said to her.
Jumping into the pool, the hot air instantly slipped off my skin, having cool water touch my stomach. My silky thin hair stuck onto my swimsuit. The necklaces and jewelry all followed me, taking every stroke I did.
"A pool party? Count me in."
