South Italy, Better Known As Romano, Sighed. His Previous Three Cups Of Coffee Hasn't Help His Case. He Has 3 Large Stacks Of Just Paperwork To Fill Out For His Own Half Of The County. He Also Did His Fratellos, To Keep Him Playing Outside And Happy. He Knew The Dark Bags Under His Eyes And The Growling He Felt Coming Up His Esophagus From His Stomach Wasn't Healthy. Then Again, So Was Seeing Millions And Billions Die And Know You're Unable To Do ANYTHING About It. It Used To Bother Him, But He's Long Since Turned Cold To The Deaths Of Mortals. He Wasn't Immortal, So To Say, But He Couldn't Die. Yet. Once Italy Was United And No Longer Needed A Second Italy He Would Be The One To Fade. It Was Odd, And He Never Knew He'd Accept It. But He Had, And He's Counting Down The Days. Three Days He's Been Locked In His Office. Unable To Remove Himself From The Normally Comforting Neutral Room Until He Was Done. His Olive Green Eyes Darkened With Fatigue, And His Hands Shook From The Unnaturalness Of His Absence Of Food. "Stupid Fucking-a Boss. 'Unable To Give-a Both Italy's A Break' My Ass There's Plenty Of Time-a To Turn These-a God Damn Paper's In." He Grumbled To Himself, Sighing. He Put His Pen Down, Rubbing His Strained Eyes.
North Italy, Better Known As Just Italy, Frowned. Back At Home, Germany Had Said He Couldn't Come Over Today, So He Was Stuck At Home. Alone. He Hated Being Alone, But His Fratello Had Work To Do. Maybe..Maybe If He Helped Romano? Veneziano Grinned, His Amber Eyes Brightening As He Ran To Knock On The Office Door. Each Of The Nations Had An Office In Their Homes, So That They Don't Have To Travel To A Building To Do The Paperwork Given To Them. The Cheerful Man Knocked A Few Times. Before Calling Out. "Fratello~? Veh, Can I Come-a In? I Want To-a Help You! Big Brother-a Romano Can't Take All-a Of The Stress~." His Soft Voice Rang Out, And He Waited For A Reply. Ever Since Grandpa Rome Fell, He's Been Worried About His Elder Brother. He Didn't Want The Only Family He Had Left To Die Out On Him. He Needed His Brother, Even If They Annoy The Other. He Slowly Opened His Door When Romanos Voice Rang Out A 'Come In-a'. He Instantly Got Worried, Seeing The Tired Eyes Of His Brother. He Jogged Forward- Something He Cursed At Himself For- And Lightly Swiped A Thumb On The Dark Circles. "Brother..You Need-a To Sleep.. You're Getting Sick-a." The Naïve Half-nation Whined Out Softly, Already Able To Tell His Brother Had A Really Bad Headache. The Poor Southern Half Of Him Was So Stressed Out, He Was Getting A High Fever.(edited)
Romano Grunted, Pushing The Youngers Hand Away. He Sighed, Looking Away And Back At His Paperwork. "I Can't-a, Boss Gave You A Holiday-a, N-" Veneziano Interrupted Him. "I Don't Care-a! Veh, You're Hurting Your Body-a Stressing Yourself-a Over Your Work And Mine-a!" He Pouted Fiercely, Glaring At Romano With His Arms Crossed. He Sighed, Pulling Him Up. "I'm Taking Care-a Of You, Veh, Even If You Don't-a Want Me To-a." Romano Didn't Bother Fighting It. He Stumbled, Nearly Falling Had It Not Been For Vene Catching Him And Basically Carrying Him To His Own Bed. He Groaned, His Headache Pounding And Throbbing. It Hurt, And The Pain Was Spreading. Veneziano Got The Male Into Bed, Tucking Him In Tightly. He Pressed A Light Kiss To His Brother's Forehead, Moving Away Calmly- Yet Worriedly- And He Spoke Softly With A Smile. "Veh, I'll Be Back With Some-a Homemade Tomato Soup. Okay-a?" When Roma Nodded, He Turned And Swiftly Left The Room. He Sped Up His Pace, Knowing His Brother Could've Been Sick Since Day One. He Needed To Treat The Stress-Induced Fever As Quickly As Nationally Possibly. He Only Hoped It Didn't Relate To Him Having To Fade In The Near-by Future. He Shook Himself From His Thoughts, Cutting Up The Tomatoes Shakily.
Vene Quickly Kept Making Them. He Put A Large Pot On With Melted Butter And Put One Pound Of 1/4th Diced Onions. Every Now And Then He Stirred It, For 20 Minutes. Until It Was Translucent And Very Soft. He Then Added Some Flour. Abandoning His Cut Up Tomatoes To Keep Stirring It Until It Was Slightly Thickened And A Soft, Pale Yellow. He Then Moved It To A Different Part Of The Stove. He Added Tomatoes, Salt, Chicken Broth, Sugar, Celery Salt, And Pepper. He Put It Back Onto The Heated Bit Of The Stove, And Set It To Medium. Once It Started To Boil He Moved The Heat To Low. He Stirred It Occasionally To Scrape The Bottom. He Added In Half-And-Half, A Mixture Of Milk And Cream- And Honey To Help With Roma's Sore Throat. He Turned Off The Heat, And Poured Some Into A Blender To Puree It After It Cooled Down. He Put The Pureed Bit Into A Smaller Pot, And Heated It Up On Medium Until It Was Heated All The Way. He Poured It Into A Bowl, Grabbing A Spoon. He Walked Up The Stairs Carefully, Balancing Some Green Tea In His Left Hand And The Tomato Soup In His Right. He Maneuvered The Items Around To Open The Door And He Slipped Inside Quietly. Romano Groaned, Fluttering His Eyes Open Slowly To Glance At His Fratello. His Mouth Watered At The Smell Of The Tomatoes, And His Stomach Growled Loudly. Blushing Embarrassingly, He Looked Away At the Soft Giggle From The Other Half-Nation.
Veneziano Put The Bowl Down, Moving To Help Roma Up Into A Sitting Position. He Grabbed The Spoon, And Got A Spoonful. He Blew On It, And Held It Before Romano's Lips. "Veh, Say Ahh~." He Cooed Softly. Romano Blushed, Grumbling To Himself As He Slowly Parted His Lips. He Felt The Spoon Slip Into His Mouth, And Being Flipped Over. The Tomato Taste, Along With Everything Else, Made Him Groan Quietly In Satisfaction. He Swallowed It, And Allowed Another Spoonful In. "God Damn-a You And Your-a Amazing Ass Cooking-a." Romano Grumbled, Pouting Cutely. Veneziano Giggled, Smiling. "Grazie Fratello~." He Hummed Out. Once He Was Done Feeding Romano, He Pushed The Elder Brother Down Into A Laying Position. He Got Up, Ready To Leave When Romano Grabbed His Hand. "P..Please Don't Leave-a.." He Blushed Harshly, Looking Away. Little Vene Smiled, And Giggled Once More. "Veh, Okie Grande Fratello~!" He Slipped His Shirt And Pants Off, Slipping Under The Covers With Romano. Bigger Romano Snuggled Into His Brothers Side, Shivering. North Italy Pulled South Close, Frowning Lightly. His Brother Should Never Have Gotten Sick. He Should Tell Their Boss To Give Romano A Break For Once.
South Hated This. He Felt Horrible. He Held His Brother, Yawning Softly. His Eyes Fluttered, And He Smiled Slightly At The Younger One. "Ti Amo Fratello." He Spoke Out Loud. Normally, The Male Was Too Shy Or Too Stubborn To Even Say It. And When He Did, He Normally Grumbled It And Looked Away. So This Proud Declaration Made Vene's Eyes Widen With Surprise. "W-What? V-Veh..?" Romano Huffed, Hugging North Italy Tightly. "I Said Ti Amo." Smiling, The Younger's Eyes Filled With Tears. As Romano Panicked Over Them, Vene Laughed. He Hugged Roma Back, Just As Tightly. "Ti Amo Troppo Fratello~!" He Called Out Into The Content Aura Around Them. Romano Blushed, Before Allowing A Small Smile. "Good. Buonanotte fratello." Veneizano Yawned, Sighing Softly. He Replied With A Smile. "Buonanotte.."
And As The Two Fell Asleep, The Brothers Knew No Matter What Anyone Did They'd Always Be There For The Other. The Two Italys Were Already United, Maybe Not Geographically But Brotherly, Physically And Mentally. They've Always Been United, Since Their Birth. And Until Their Deaths, Both Will Remain United And Together. The End
