I smiled opening up the message Riley had sent half an hour ago. I would've replied sooner but I was caught up helping mum and dad sort out what they'd take to Europe with them.
Riley- when will we meet?
I know it was wrong but it wasn't entirely my fault right? I'd made a fake facebook to investigate if guys like girls for their looks or personality, it was for a science project but I'd just let it slip out of hands. I'd gotten a little carried away. my apologies. I picked a random picture of a gorgeous girl of the internet and called her Amy Jane, I had linked everything she did and where she lived to my hometown, then I waited. At first guys were just jerks asking for sexual favours and girls were sending nasty threats but then out of nowhere Riley messaged Amy and he was so sweet it changed my perspective of him and I'd gotten intrigued. Under that entire bad ass, bad boy demeanour was a sweet guy that I seemed to have liked. I knew I had to tell him so I set the date.
Oh by the way my name is Chloe Stuart and Riley Young is our schools number one badass. Everyone was scared of him after hearing all the stories of his street fights and other gang involved incidents. Drugs, Alcohol, Cheating. You name it. But then again everyone loved him. His smart remarks to the teachers cracked the whole class up in an instant and just by giving someone the look they'd shut up. I always wondered why the school didn't just expel him.
Me, I'm the one that trusts those who shouldn't be trusted, the one who always gave a second or third or fourth chances to everyone. I'd say I got along with people fine unless I got in their way. I was always there for anyone that needed it and I just always had a soft spot and sometimes I regretted it.
I had friends. A couple of them, we never really hang out though due to my commitments to my parents, although now that I'm going to be at home for two weeks by myself I might actually get to. You see having unlimited trust from the parents paid off. I mean they were going to Europe and agreed to let me stay at home by myself with no adult supervision even though I was only seventeen.
Dammit, I mumbled to myself again forgetting to actually reply to Riley's message. So quickly I typed up a reply.
Amy- Soon. Very soon. :)
I stiffened when he replied almost instantly.
Riley- <3
It put a smile on my face although I hated it. I actually wish it could be the real me he liked.
Quickly I shut my laptop and after lying in bed silently listening to crickets chirping in the night I dozed off.
The next day was Sunday, my parents leave today. I'm so going to miss them! Running downstairs I ran to a crying mother and hugged her tightly then dad who was trying so hard not to cry but failed.
"ill be fine" I reassured them "just 14 days left" I earned a smile and chuckle from both of them.
After they'd left it felt as if I'd lost a billion parts of me. I didn't have anything to do. Usually is just help someone out but now there was no-one.
My phone went off sending me into shock! it was so scary.
Then again I smiled. I've got Riley for now. I smirked hating myself on the inside. I have to tell him. Now. I felt so guilty. How could I be so stupid. Damn!
Riley- Heyy ;)
Amy- meet me at Starbucks in 20 minutes.
It was too late to take it back now. what's done is done.
I ran up to my room and quickly threw some 'good looking' clothes on hoping and praying he'd forgive me because I was wearing something cute.
Time to shine girlie.
