The school bell rang through her ears, signalling the break has just started, a sigh escapes her lips,
"Hey Hyuna? I'm gonna leave early today I'm not feeling all that well"
"Maddy please-"
"No I gotta go, see you home"
And with that Maddy ran, ran out of the classroom, she ran as fast as she could, right through the school doors, she didn't care about anyone yelling her name, she hoped they didn't, afriad that Jimin might overhear and come after her, She put up her hoodie, hiding her face as possible as she can,
Increasing her speed, she found the nearest corner, running through the alley between buildings, turning past another corner, leaning on the wall she caught her breath, holding her chest as she felt her legs weaken,
"I really need to get in shape" She sighed, sliding down the wall as she looked up,
"Hi"
Maddy yelped as she turned to see a little girl, her hair a mess and her clothes ripped, she was holding what looked like a burned teddy bear,
Maddy furrowed her brows as she calmed down, "h-hey" She stuttered, sitting straight,
"What's your name?" The little girl smiled, Maddy smiled back, pulling her knees up to her chest, "I'm Maddy, what's yours?"
"Crystal, but I like to be called Crissy" She bounced up and down, her grin reched the creases of her eyes,
"Where's your parents? Did you lose them?" Maddy asked worriedly, Crystal shook her head,
"I ran away, dada was being mean and mama is being mean too so i grabbed Mr. Chicken and RAN AWAY" She yelled, raising ber left arm, pretending to be superman,
"I'm sure they're worried sick about you, do you want to go to the police and tell them what happened?" Maddy said, standing up, reaching out to the girl, who shook her head as her smile was replaced with a frown
"Dada said if I tell the police he'll rip Mr. Chicken and hurt me, and I don't want that" She mumbled, backing away from Maddy, who furrowed her brows, "we should really go t-"
