The Escape of the Century

He sat there, menacingly sitting in a containment cell. Oliver Gaile, head of Gaile Industries, also known as the "Basilisk" was finally captured and detained. He began twiddling his fingers, but not before a man in a suit and tie wearing glasses approached his containment cell. "You best release me n-" Oliver said, but was cut off towards the end by the man in the suit. "My name is Agent Odile and I'm here to discuss your sentence in terms of your crimes." Oliver looked at the man grinning, "And why am I supposed to listen to you? I could buy you if my heart so desire." Agent Odile crossed his arms, all of a sudden the security cameras flickered, turning into static before shutting down. Alarms began blaring, red flashing lights lighting up the maximum security prison. Oliver stood up from his cell, cracking his knuckles and looking at Agent Odile. Agent Odile tilted his glasses down, grinning. "Did you miss me?" He snickered before his eyes lit up with flames before melting down the prison cell. Agent Odile was revealed to be Sam Voth, otherwise known as Ignus, one of The Volt's villains. Oliver transformed into "The Basilisk", morphing into a beast like creature with the ability to manipulate, absorb, and create ice at temperatures below anything ever recorded. He stood towering at 10 feet tall with a hulk like figure over Voth, his breath had ice crystals scattering in the air as he roared. "What are we waiting for" said Oliver as he began to freeze the underground gates in the facility shut, breaking through them like they were pencils. Gaile and Voth began empowering the guards at the SHIELD facility, freezing and setting them ablaze with ease. 

Before leaving the facility, Gaile smashes a red button encased in glass, sending the pieces flying. The cameras flickered back on, showcasing the rest of The Volt's rogues gallery fleeing, heading straight to Gaile and Voth. Oliver roared, a fiery ice breath displayed, seeing the rest of the meta humans gathering towards him. Magnez, Wave, Surge, Breacher, Forecast, and Quicksand all began accessing their powers again due to them leaving their cells. The group of misfits began fleeing the SHIELD facility, killing any people that tried to protest them. As they fled the prison, they were surrounded by the ocean water, seemingly stranded. Even from the outside, the prison could be seen blaring with red lights, fire setting the prison ablaze, and smoke trailing into the sky. Magnez looked at the nearby city, looking back at the group. "Now how the hell are we gonna make it there? Aspen is miles away" he questioned. Breacher looked at the city, then looking back at the area where they were at. "Idiot, I can breach all of us there" he sounded annoyed. Gaile had only had two things on his mind, reach Aspen and kill The Volt, after all he did know that he was Philip Olender. Gaile snapped out of his daze, staring back at Breacher, Oliver reverting back to normal form. "Let's get to it" he said, before being breached straight into Aspen City.
