"Are you guys hungry?" Emilie asked from the front.

Their car was so sleek. It was a shiny, black BMW with cream leather seats and it was just ugh. Luxurious.

First-class.

"I want a happy meal with a Uni-kitty toy." Tahni demanded.

"We'll stop at the next one we see then. Do you eat McDonalds, Brooke?" She asked me.

McDonalds is love. McDonalds is life, "Yeah, I like it." I replied cooly.

Simon pulled the car into the next McDonalds they saw and stopped the car to get petrol.

"You kids head inside. We'll wait here." Emilie told us.

Tahni, Ethan and I walked into McDonalds and waited in line.

"Why did you promise to hang out with Elise today?" I asked Ethan quietly once we were out of earshot.

"She's pretty cool once you get to know her." He replied.

"You're kidding. After what she's done to me?" I gaped.

"Yeah, it's really wasn't that bad. She doesn't mean anything she does." He didn't look at me at all.

"You know, I'm not feeling that hungry. I'm just gonna head back to the car." I said quietly looking at the ground.

"I'm kidding." He said as I was about I walk away.

"What?" I asked looking up at him confusedly.

"I still hate Elise as much as you. Were you jealous?" He cooed and pinched my cheeks.

"Shut up." I mumbled swatting him away trying hard not to let a smile peek through.

"C'mon B. You can't stay mad at me forever." He grinned, slung an arm around my shoulder and dragged me towards McDonalds for the second time that day.

"Our last stop before the airport." Simon said gleefully from the drivers seat.

I rubbed my eyes and leant up from Ethan's shoulder. I looked out the window and we were pulled into a car park area on the side of the high-way, surrounded by farm.

We all got out of the car and Emilie went to line up at the ice-cream truck with Tahni.

I looked back from where we were and vertical to us across the road was the airport runway lit up with guide lights for the planes to land. If you looked the other way, there were green rolling hills with some parts holding cows and some with sheep. And in the sky, a line of about three planes in sight that were spaced apart coming in to land.

"The airplane watching place!" I squealed clapping my hands.

Ethan laughed and we sat down on a short log fence thing. He put Nova radio on his phone quietly and Katy Perry's This is how we do came on. When the song finished, there was an part where the radio hostess said that she was interviewing a mystery contestant of The Voice Kids at 6pm.

"Do you watch The Voice Kids?" I asked Ethan.

I didn't watch those shows. Only X-Factor because I was planning to audition for next year when I'm 14.

Ethan laughed, "I made it to Delta's last five in the show."

"You were on it?" I gaped.

"Yeah. I met some of my best friends on the show." He smiled.

"So you sing?" I asked awkwardly.

"Yeah. I should introduce you to them soon. Some live in Melbourne!" He exclaimed smiling, "What about you? Do you sing?"
