Lilly Cooper: 16 year old introvert that loves photography and being with her best friends: Jen, Harper, and Kelsi. She often feels doubtful when she compares herself to them because they've had boyfriends, had their first kisses... she feels behind for her age. Until this trip, she thought she was unlovable. Lilly is insecure, passionate, loyal, considerate, driven, and cautious.
Jen Morales: 16 year old from Mexico that is known for her beauty and feistiness. She enjoys flirting with boys, going out on the town with her girl friends, and swimming. Despite her fearless persona, she has been through countless foster homes that she never likes to talk about. Jen is daring, spontaneous, fun, witty, and damaged.
Kelsi Grant: 16 year old blonde that's never seen without a smile on her face. She's the star player on her school's volleyball team and loves to tan on the beach. Even though she's naive, she always stays true to her friends and would never hurt them on purpose. Kelsi is bubbly, enthusiastic, optimistic, kindhearted, and curious.
Harper Collins: 16 year old preacher's daughter in a rock band. She's a rebel that will often break the rules just because she can. She spends her time writing songs, listening to music, and causing trouble. She's spent years trying to keep a secret that would lead to life altering outcomes if uncovered. Harper is defiant, sarcastic, realistic, clever, and guarded.
Kyle Haynes: 16 year old writer with a big heart but that often makes bad decisions. He always has his journal with him, jotting down stories, observations, and anything else that comes to mind. He's very attractive which led him to date Lindsay Fox, one of his worst mistakes. She brings out the worst in him. Kyle is very sensitive, giving, passionate, intelligent, and gets easily addicted (to people).
Nick Morgan: 17 year old bad boy with a mysterious past. At first glance, he's the stereotypical high school player, but once you get to know him, you realize it's all a facade. After a tragic event he feels responsible for, Nick has turned to girls, alcohol, and this identity to hide it. After he meets Lilly, he knows she can help him change that. Nick is scarred, protective, fearful, loving, and dangerous.
