Cam

"Hey Cam." I greeted him nonchalantly, while I tied up my long black hair into a messy bun. "I thought I told you not to call me Poppy seed." I griped.
"Well I saw an opportunity so I took it, nothing you can do about it now." He said taking a seat on my bed next to Lenny who just stared at me in disbelief.
"Oh right I forgot Cam meet Lenny, Lenny meet Cam."
"Your name is Lenny?" He questioned quirking an eyebrow.
"No it's actually Lennox, Poppy just likes to call me Lenny." She explained with a small smile.
"Hey Poppy can I talk to you for a sec?"
"Sure what is it?" As soon as I uttered those words she dragged me out of my room and into the hallway.
"I didn't know you were friends with THAT Cameron Alveres!" She whisper yelled.
"I'm sorry I thought there was only one Cameron in our school." I said quietly
"How are you two even friends?"
"We knew each other since kindergarten, we basically grew up together." I explained "are we good now?"
"Yes"
I dragged her back into my room once again locking the door behind me. I looked up to see Cameron holding Mr. Fish Sticks, my black and white tuxedo cat.
"Why do you always lock your door when you come in?" Cam inquired.
"Because I don't want Satan entering when he is not invited."
"You still call Josh Satan?"
"Yes, and he isn't Josh anymore he is Satan." I stated simply while opening up a pack of fruit snacks.
"Lenny get over here so I can do your hair." I commanded
"Ooh can you do mine next?" Cam asked excitedly while placing down Mr. Fish Sticks.
"Uggg, okay fine." I complied while trying to braid Lenny's short bleach blonde hair.
"I still don't understand why you had to cut your hair so short."
"I wanted to, I was tired of having it super long."
I stayed silent after that, my brows knitting together in frustration while trying to braid Lenny's hair. I finally gave and shouted,
"Okay Len I'm done with your hair, Cam get over here!"
"Yay!" He yelled practically jumping on top of me with a bag of chips in hand.
I grabbed his scruffy brown hair and tied it into a little sprout on top of his head with a hair tie. I always loved to play with Cam's hair it was just soft and fluffy and was just a stress reliever. I took out the hair tie per Cam's request and started to run my fingers through his hair instead.
"Okay I'm just gonna ask, are you guys dating?" Lenny inquired breaking the peaceful silence. Cam brought his head up from my lap looking me in my eyes, and we both burst out laughing. Lenny looked just as confused as ever.
"Hahaha! You-you think we're dating!? AHAHAHA!" I rolled around on the bed clutching my stomach while Cam was laughing so hard he couldn't even breathe.
"So you guys aren't dating?"
"No!" We screamed at her in unison, falling back and laughing again.
"Shut up!" I heard someone scream and bang on the wall
"I guess we angered Satan with all of our joyous laughter!" I screamed laughing even harder. At this point it had died down and I was the only one still wheezing and trying to catch my breath.
  The handle on my door started to jiggle stopping the antics at once. I looked up, my face cooling down from laughing so hard.
  "Can you please shut up, I'm trying to do my homework?" A muffled voice sounded from behind the door.
  I picked up one of my pillows and threw it at the door.
  "Fuck off Josh" I shouted.
  "Whatever" came a muffled reply and soon after the sound of his door slamming shut.
  "Couldn't you be a little nicer to him? I mean at least he tried to ask nicely." Lenny said looking guilty.
  "No I can't, he's been an asshole ever since he got with Madison, he pretends that I don't even exist and the worst part is that he's still dating her, even after he knew what she did to me. Josh doesn't give a shit about me so why I should I!" I looked down at my bed silently, this had been a common issue between Josh and I for about three months now. I felt betrayed by him, it wasn't fair that he thought he could do that to me. I sighed looking to Lenny then to Cameron.
  "Do you guys wanna go to the mall and hangout there?" I suggested. Lenny's face lit up with excitement and Cam shook his head yes.
  "Well do you guys wanna get going then?" I asked grabbing my keys and a sweatshirt from my closet.
"Yes, lets go!" Lenny shrieked jumping off the bed and heading towards the door.
  Cam let out a little chuckle out watching Lenny as she bounded out the door.
  "She's kinda like a little kid." He said to me as we walked down after Lenny.
