The Keeper

Chapter 16:

Anya wakes up because of the body heat coming from Suoh. Geez, her boyfriend is literally hot in a sense. She can't sleep well when he decides to cuddle. She's already used to his high temperature but not all the time and this is one of those times. She is not comfortable with the added heat. So, she carefully removes the arms of Suoh that are wrap around her and sits up, successfully not waking up the lazy ass.

The door creak opens and the head of Totsuka peeks in. "Yes," Anya says softly.

Tatara gestures for Anya to come out with his hand.

Anya looks at Totsuka, perplexed. It is so early in the morning, not even five in the morning. But she stands up and carefully strides towards the door. When she is out of the room, she stares at Totsuka in confusion.

"Do you want to go fishing with us? Yata and Kamamoto will come with me," Tatara explains, noticing the bewildered expression on Anya's face.

Anya covers her mouth because...hello...morning breath surely stinks. "Fishing," she utters. "Ku-chan is in London, right now, and the other guys are busy. Will Suoh and Anna live without anyone of us looking after them?" Well, with her covered mouth, she has difficulty being understood but she is sure that this idiot will understand her.

Tatara nods his head in understanding but smiles widely. "I am sure they will live for a day. Kusanagi-san will be back today and we'll be back before dinner to feed them the fish we capture," he remarks excitedly.

Anya raises a brow. "You speak like I am coming already," she muses.

Tatara chuckles. "Of course, I know you are coming. Let the princess and King have their time together. It has been a while since Anna has King for herself," he points out.

If Anya's brow can get any higher, it will have done so. "Are you saying that I always have Suoh's time?" she inquires accusingly. "Well, sorry about that," she says.

Tatara raises his hand in defeat. "That's not what I am talking about," he clarifies. "What I am telling you, is to give Anna and King to bond. It has been a while with the ruckus happening in the city. I am sure Anna will like to be with King."

Anya just giggles in amusement. "I know," she affirms. "Well, let me have a quick shower."

"Okay, I'll just leave a message for Anna. We'll be waiting downstairs." Tatara then leaves Anya.

"Ka-chan," Anya utters through her giggles, "use those muscles to reel the fishes. You have let five fishes get away from us." This fishing trip is fun. Kamamoto is not good at reeling fish, Yata is fighting with a fishing pole, and Totsuka and she are laughing their ass out with their two accompaniment hilariousness.
