The girls went to their new cabin. They saw a girl there sitting on the top bunk reading a book. She looked up and got down from the bed.
"Hi. I'm Tracy.Tracy Fowler. Nice to meet you."
"Hi," Sammy said. The rest greeted her.
They all got to talking.
"So where are you from , Tracy?" Jenny asked.
"I am from Los Angeles. I moved to New York a year ago."
"Wow. What school?" asked Brenda.
Hartworth High." she answered.
After a while of getting to know each other, Tracy said "Hey, let's get wood for the campfire."
Tracy had been to Camp Dreamcatcher before. She knew all the ropes and was a CIT.
"What's a CIT ?" Sammy had asked. She was very inquisitive.
"Counsellor-in-training" Tracy answered. On their way to get firewood, they bumped into a lady.
"Sorry," they mumbled.
The woman turned around and Tracy recognised her.
"Hi, Ms. Hadley," Tracy greeted all chirpy like.
"Tracy! So good to meet you again!" Ms. Hadley hugged her.
Tracy turned to the girls"Guys, this is Ms. Hadley. The camp head counsellor."she turned to Ms. Hadley."These are my new friends, Vicky, Sammy, Janet, Brenda and Jenny."
Ms. Hadley peered at them closely. "Have I met you?"
The girls looked at themselves. They all shook their heads.
"Okay..."
She looked in the distance as if trying to remember something and just...
Left.
"Okay, weird."Brenda said.
...
Soon it was time to go outside. Everyone gathered round the campfire. The Camp Director started her speech.
"Welcome old and new comers to Camp Dreamcatcher. I am Camp Director Tina Haven..."
Tracy looked around. She saw a lot of people. Some she had met before, some she hadn't. Then her eyes rested on someone she thought she would never see again.
Bianca Jenkins.
Grrrr she thought. That girl had made most of last year terrible. They hated each other almost as much as Sammy and Bianca.Almost.
Tracy decided to let it go. Having a grudge with her was not going to solve anything. Then Brenda said,"Hey , Bianca, twelve o clock."
Everyone looked straight ahead.
Bianca and her minions strutted towards them.
"Hey, losers," she sneered. She looked at Tracy and smirked.
"Looks like you joined the dork club. I am sure they let you in like the little-"
Sammy had had enough. She stood up and said
"Enough, Bianca! We are not taking any of this crap anymore." She took Tracy's hand.
" If you don't want to leave, then we will. Let's go guys."
They all began to leave in disgust. Jake was the last to leave.
"You too, Jake." Bianca said, folding her arms.
"Please, Bianca."
He put his hands in his pockets and followed the others.
"Well, fine. Be that way! You don't deserve me anyway." Bianca yelled at his retreating figure. She was going to get him one way or the other.______________
