It was dark. Very, very dark. But Dipper wasn't entirely sure everyone in the cabin was asleep. Robbie could be awake to make sure no one snuck out - and unfortunately, that was exactly what Dipper was trying to do.

Dipper sat up, looking around at the other bunks. Nothing moved.

He swung his legs over the edge of the bed, and slowly stood up. Still nothing moved.

He took a few tentative steps towards the door. Then a few more. He was almost outside, and beginning to hope he'd make it, when-

"Where do you think you're going in the dark?"

Dipper almost shrieked, but remembered the other sleeping campers, and the scream turned into a small squeak. His heart was pounding. That wasn't Robbie's voice.

"Gideon?" Dipper peered into the shadows next to the door.

"That's Northwest to you. And I asked you a question." Gideon crossed his arms.

"I- " Dipper fumbled for an excuse. "I was... going outside! What's it to you, Northwest - oh, sorry, I mean, Northjerk."

Gideon inhaled sharply. "If my parents were here, Pines, you'd- oh, just go back to sleep." He crossed his arms and slouched against the doorframe.

Dipper rolled his eyes. "Why are you even up? To ominously stand by the door and stop me from leaving?" Then he realized what he'd said - or rather, whispered.

Gideon raised an eyebrow. "Leaving? Leaving the cabin, or the camp? Actually, there's no question of you leaving the camp - you would never leave Mabel - your sister, I mean."

Dipper grinned. "Ohhhhhh, I get it," he whispered.

"Get what?"

"You-" Dipper poked Gideon's arm. "-like-" Poke. "-my sister." Poke.

"I do not!" Gideon whispered harshly, and swatted Dipper's hand away. "You aren't supposed to leave the cabins! It's camp rules!"

"And you don't want Mabel to get in trouble, do you? I mean, it's not like you have any problem breaking the camp rules."

There was a rustling sound behind them. Gideon tackled Dipper to the floor and put a hand over his mouth. Dipper tried licking his hand, but it didn't budge.

"Is someone there?" came a very sleepy voice from Robbie's bunk. Dipper saw a flashlight create shadows on the walls, and Gideon muttered a few things that Dipper's parents would have slapped him for saying.

Robbie leaned over the two boys in a haphazard pile on the floor. "What are you both doing out of bed?" he whispered.

Caught, Gideon sat up and wiped his hand on his dumb cape. "Pines was trying to sneak out."

Dipper scowled. "And you were creepily standing in the corner for no reason!"

"Well, sorry, but I don't want the one place away from my parents to be sued because some stupid kid got killed wandering off into the woods at night!" Gideon snapped at Dipper, suddenly seeming a little intimidating.

"Away from your parents?" Dipper asked.

"Don't."

"What, is something wrong with them? Do they take away your credit cards?" Dipper laughed.

"I said, DON'T!" Gideon pushed Dipper away from him, and with that, ran into the forest.

Robbie turned back to Dipper. "Go to sleep. I'll wait up for him - he can't have gone too far."
