"Will you marry me?"
I looked into Marcus' deep green eyes and was taken aback. This was a dream proposal; fireworks, a flash mob, and a giant diamond ring. How could anyone say no to all this?
"Yes, Marcus. I will." He popped up and gave me a giant kiss on the lips. I kissed back, grabbing his back for support.
From then, a wedding was to be planned, and I was to replace my last name with Harries.
But when I saw him again, I wasn't too sure I wanted that to happen.

"Eleanor, what's wrong? You freaked out when you called." Danielle said, plopping down her purse on my black leather couch.
"Dani, I saw him again."
She gave me a look then crossed her arms. "Who's him? You know, there's a lot of him's out there."
"Him, as in Louis."
Her jaw dropped and took a seat beside me. "Okay, so what happened? Give me all the details."
I pulled a strand of hair out of my face then continued, "Well, I was in line at Starbucks..."
~*flashback from earlier on that day*~
"Lou, isn't that Eleanor?" Harry loudly whispered to Louis, who had his back facing the rest of the line. "Louis! Louis! It is!"
"Shut up mate, she can probably hear you." I could hear Louis say to Harry, still not looking back to see if it was actually me. What if he didn't want it to be me? I mean, I did break up with him. Little did he know it wasn't my choice.
Before I knew it, Harry was standing in front of me. "Hi Eleanor!."
"Hey Harry. Long time no see." I say, moving ahead in line. This was definitely awkward for both Louis and I, seeing that Louis had dug his face into his hand.
"Yeah, about the last time we saw each other," Before he could finish, Louis had whisked him to the side, almost spilling the hot drink on him. The both of us knew what he was about to say. The last time I saw the both of them, I had just broken up with Louis.
And that's never a great memory to leave behind.
"Sorry Eleanor. He's a bit of a, pain in the arse." he joked, grinning fully at me. A feeling of guilt shot through me, knowing there was a bit of pain still lingering behind.
"Just as I remember him." I moved up to the cashier and ordered my usual. I just, stopped talking to him, I thought to myself. But why? It felt so, nice. I shook my head of these thoughts, knowing it'd bring back some kind of emotion. Which wasn't needed, being that I was to be married in a week.

"So you just, left?"
"Yes, Dani. But that's not all that happened. He even called me afterwards." Danielle bit her lip and started laughing.
"Well this is a turn of events." I let out a chuckle and she tugged on her blue pencil skirt. "So what'd he say?"
"Well," I started, grabbing a pillow and placing it onto my lap, "He said he wanted to see me again. I told him sure, and now I'm going to his place on Tuesday."
Danielle's eyes bulged out, then started laughing again. "Wow, El, you work fast."
I gave her a look, then the phone started to ring.
"Hello?" I answered, immediately hearing cars in the distance.
"Eleanor! Oh thank gosh. I'm right outside your door. I'll explain when I get inside." Cara, my friend from University, yelled through the phone.
What was she up to know?
"Cara, who even said you were coming in?" I joked, looking outside my window. From my point of view, she looked a mess.
"Oh, El! Just let me in!"
I smiled then opened the door, revealing Cara, who was disheveled and obviously drunk. She welcomed herself inside and threw her jacket onto bench that was nearby.
"What the hell happened to you?" I question, leading her into the living room, where Danielle was sitting.
"I, um, had a bit too much fun. Can I crash here tonight please?" Cara pleaded, wobbling a bit. After all, she was a bit tipsy. "Do you really want me driving when I'm all, ya know. Drunk." She slurred the last word before crashing down onto the couch beside Danielle.
We all started to laugh, then ended up having a whole bottle of wine. And as they say, alcohol in, truth out.
Is this chapter good? Should I keep writing? I promise it'll get better!!! :)
Feedback is always appreciated :) thanks :)
