Chapter 1: Van Gogh.

"So I wonder why you won't ask her out already." Aries said while swinging at the canvas with his brush.

He wasn't  much for painting, but he liked doing it anyway.

Eventhough Trevor Aries ( Who I mostly called Aries because i like the sound of his last name more than his first name ) wasn't studying art, he liked coming over to my house and hang around with me in my working shed, where he used my canvas and paints and brushes to relieve some stress. It was truly quite fun to hang with him. The conversations were interesting and the paintings even more. Aries painted agressively, as if he couldn't wait to finish the painting, and yet he took hours doing what he did. Madman Art, I called it, and he quite agreed. He may not be as mental as Benjamin, another friend of ours, but he sure seemed close enough when he was painting.

"Because I don't have a good feeling about her." I said, "She seems nice and all, but I've never been with a girl like that. She seems quite popular, and so we can assume allot of people give a damn about her. It's always like that. I wouldn't like the attention." I know i sounded stupid, but that's what I wanted to tell Aries. Truth be told, I liked Claire alright and all, but I wasn't that into her. She seemed a bit empty of interests, and one thing I really want in a girl is interesting things to talk of. If that was non-existent, then I never thought a relationship could stand. Aries, of course, thought different of this.

" But dude, she's popular! I mean, even if it doesn't work out, you'll still get other options afterwards. Girls will look at you differently after you've been with her." Aries said.

"Howso?" I asked, curious as to how Trevor Aries thought girls' minds worked.

"I'm saying that girls judge a guy partly by who he is, and partly by how he looks, and partly by what he has done." Aries smiled, " So let's analyze you for a moment." He stopped with his painting and looked at me.

" So you're not a bad person, we all know that. Good student, high grades, socially acceptable for the most part. And physically speaking, you're not exactly bad-looking. Well-kept, decent possure, nice set of teeth, well-combed hair. So what about what you've done? Sure, you've had some clashes with some girls, none of which were exceptionally important in the Heatworth system. But Claire, Claire has allot of friends, she's the only daughter of a wealthy businessman. Not hard to look at, she's a good catch. But what if it doesn't work out, you wonder? Well, if it doesn't, you still haven't lost anything. You see, Claire will be a trampoline for you to get to other girls. The fact that Claire wanted you would make other girls wonder what it is that's so great about you. Sooner or later, they'll want to discover that hidden thing in you that Claire has found, and from that point is cake. All you do is choose the girl you most like." Aries explained.
