Our Earth is a debt for us by our forefathers and we can remove this only by giving it to our next generation in safe conditions . Since we are not the owner of it so we aren't having the right to make some changes which are having the capacity to exploit it . Pollution by sudden increase in use of plastic products is emerging as a major problem . Over a decade it is proving to be one of the most typical problems which made flow of sweat from the forehead of environment lovers and people in the field of environment protection . It is a issue which is required to be treated as soon as possible at the core level .

Plastic is a cheap malleable material that is widely used almost everywhere throughout the globe . Its ease of manufacture , verstality , imperviousness made it an efficient material for products from simple paper clips to spacecrafts . It has prevailed over traditional materials , such as wood , stone , horn , bone , leather , metal , glass and ceramic in some products previously left to natural materials . In developed economies , about a third of plastic is used in packaging and roughly the same in building applications such as piping , plumbing and vinyl siding . It has many uses in medical field as well . About 12.7 millions tonnes from plastic bottles and bags to microbeads ends up in our ocean each year . Plastic is now turning up in every corner of our planet . From Cornish beaches to uninhabited Pacific islands . It is even being found in Arctic ice . Oceans are slowly turning into a plastic soup and the effects are chilling . Big pieces of plastic
are choking and entangling turtles and seabirds , and tiny pieces are clogging the stomachs of creatures who mistake it for food from , tiny zooplankton to whales . Plastic is now entering every level of the ocean food chain and even ending up in the seafood of our planet . Not only this but the increasing amount of plastic waste in landfills has raised a serious concern about the soil fertility among the environmentalists . The daily door - to - door waste collection service by the civic body amounts to 650 tonnes of waste of which 220 tonnes have the highest composition of plastic in it . Environmentalists say that a large amount of plastic dumping can affect the percolation of water . The plastic and polythene waste , when mixed with other garbage will take a long time to degrade as the life of microbes that enhances the degradation process will be affected . Pure plastics have low toxicity due to its insolubility in water .

As of now the sudden need for saving the planet is to stop using plastic products . Though using 3Rs ( Reduce, Reuse ,Recycle ) strategy in case of plastic is one of the best way to handle it but only making strategy isn't sufficient , its effects must be seen . A scientist from South India has discovered a best way to use it in materials for building roads and buildings . According to him , since plastic has no effect of water flow so it is a best supplement for materials used in building purposes . On one hand it will reduce maintenance costs for roads  by our government and on other hand since it will be unbreakable for so nany years , there will be a great reduction in road accidents caused by roads having lots of pits .
