Chapter 1: Our Emily

Spencer's POV

"I just don't understand how someone can wear shoes like that!" Hanna goes on about something unsatisfying once again but unfortunately my mind was more focused on something else, more like someone else.
"Are you listening to me ?!" Hanna screams, while snapping her fingers annoyingly in front of my face. I covered my ears at how loud she got and I immediately gave her a death glare because was that really necessary.
"It's hard not to if you're screaming like that." I said and all she did was roll her eyes. But it was true, I bet people from Antarctica could hear every word the blonde was talking about.
"Whatever." Hanna says before she got up after the bell rung for the next class.

Hanna said she was going to meet me in class so I was finally alone. And my mind drifted off once again and this time no one could interrupt me. The sweet smell of her Vanilla scent and Chlorine taking over you as she swiftly walked by, the way her beach wave like hair always fell so perfectly down her back and how her long tanned legs glistened in the water when she swam. I wondered how the girl was so beautiful without even trying.

Finally reaching Mr. Fitz's class I took a seat, smiling like I just won the Nobel peace prize because that same beautiful brunette had this class, and speaking of the angel.

"Hey Spence." Emily says with that famous soft smile. God she's so perfect.
"Hi Emily." I said softly returning the gesture until it slowly faded.
"Hey you guys" Alisons seductive voice filled the room as well as her presence as she trailed behind Emily. All eyes on Ali, mentally rolling my eyes on how i forgot that Alison was in this class too.
I don't hate Ali, we're more like Frenemies in my eyes. I just hated how close she is with Emily, but I would never tell Ali that or any of the other girls because then I'll have to explain why and I'm not emotionally ready for that.
However, everyone in our group knows about Emily and Alis relationship with each other, they were closer together than they are with the rest of us. It's obvious Emily is Ali's favorite, but I know that Alison is only using her for her own personal sick needs.

"So sleepover at my house tonight ?" Alison says with a smirk as she looked at ONLY Emily. 'This bitch' If looks could kill, Ali would be dead right now.
"Meee!!" Hanna says cheerfully, followed by a "sure" from Aria and a "Of course" from Emily. I was the only one who didn't answer, which caused all four of the girls to look at me.
"Yea, definitely." I put on a smile like I wanted to go but in all honesty, I didn't. But there was no way in hell I was gonna leave Emily alone with Alison. "Good we are all going to meet up after school by Arias locker since it's the closest to the exit." Alison finally gave the rest of us attention when she talked, looking at us for assurance and we all nodded in agreement.

After School

I already knew this was going to be a long night, it was around 6 and we were all sitting around our normal table at the brew. It was Arias idea to stop here first. I couldn't tell if she was trying to order coffee or waiting to see Ezra.

  I sat close to the window with Aria. Emily Hanna and Ali sat across from us in that order. Once again Hanna was talking about someone's fashion sense and Emily was eating it up, you got to love HANNILY. I say in my head as I watched the two girls converse.

"Two ice lattes with extra whip cream for Hanna.... A Caffé Americano for Emily.... Espresso for me and a Black Coffee for Spence" Aria says while sliding each of us our drinks and sitting down beside me. "God it took forever." Hanna says sighing heavily.
"It's only been 10 minutes Hanna." Emily said. It was the truth though, but it felt like we've been here for forever. I grab my coffee and take a slow slip of it, allowing the flavor to dance around my taste buds.
"Spencer I don't know how you can drink your coffee like that." Aria says and Hanna nods in agreement. Then Emily jumped in "leave Spencer alone, She's a Hastings she can't help it. Black Coffee runs in her veins" and I couldn't help but smile at the little giggle she did at the end of her sentence. She was the cutest and I really wished it was just us here.

   "Ali are you okay? You've been quiet this whole time." Aria says and that made me look at Ali who I realized was staring straight at me with her judging icy blue eyes. It felt like she was looking deep in my soul. Like she was reading over all my actions. Like she was analyzing my deepest darkest secrets.
"Yea I'm fine just listening." Alison says smiling as she took her eyes off me and landed on Aria.

As she averted her gaze from me. I let out a deep breath of air that I didn't even know I was holding in. I wondered why she was staring at me and for how long ?

  That thought ran through my mind until we got to Ali's house. I'm here for Emily and only Emily.
