he built a small fire
high up on a ridge
a distance from sandy shore
misting rain had been falling
chilling them both to the bone
Keoni stood petrified
a pale shadow
as Zakai reached
took her in his arms
holding her close .. gently
her quiet tears fell
upon his young man's face
she shook .. impulsively sobbed
wracked with indescribable pain
from fresh memories of Leilani
Zakai prepared a soft pallet
in several palm tree's shade
picked up .. carried weak Keoni
easily laid her down
took his shirt off .. for her a pillow
through fatiqued .. half slit eyes
she saw him viewing the ocean
briefly .. a few moments later
whispered .. would you hold me
please come lie down .. near
Zakai brushed aside
his distractful lusty thoughts
emotional heart .. tugged
beautifully innocent .. lonely lady
needed love .. he wondered if he's the one
