The day at Ouran went exactly as expected. No one really bothered to talk to me any more. I went about my day without saying a word to anyone. I liked it this way. I liked to be alone. During my free hour, while I sat reading Jane Eyre in an abandoned art room, I noticed a group of girls giggling outside the small window on the door.
"C'mon!"
"Hurry up!"
"Let's go!" they said.
Laughing, they pulled each other along. It seemed like none of them wanted to be first to get to... wherever they were going. For some reason, their excitment piqued my interest. I closed my book and disposed of the rest of my lunch. After they had gotten farther down the hallway, I slipped past the door and followed them, quietley keeping my distance. They led me to the top floor of the south building and down the northern hallway. They stopped at a classroom labled "Music Room #3" and opened the door. They immediately started laughing and stepped in side, letting the door close behind them. I crept up to the door and bent down to pick something up that had slid through the crack under it. Upon closer examination I found that it was a rose petal. What the hell? I thought. I put my ear up to the door and heard plenty of noise and commotion inside.
Must be some sort of concert or something. Why the petals though?
Without even thinking I placed my hand on the golden handle. Then I stopped.
What am I doing?
I pulled my hand back and sighed.
No way in hell am I-
"May I help you?" said a voice from behind me.
I spun around quickly and saw they boy from before, Kyouya Ootori, standing behind me with an inquisitive look on his face. "You are welcome to go inside, if you would like." he said and gestured to the door. "I'm just... I..... I got lost. Sorry, wrong room. Please excuse me." I said quickly and began to walk away. "Ms. Morine? I beilive there is a banquet tonight that Mr. Morine is hosting to celebrate the partnership between his company and their new clients. Is this correct?" Kyouya asked, stopping me. I turned around.
"Yes that is correct."
"Can I expect to see you and your sister there?"
"Of course. Are you... I mean is your family going to attend?"
"Quite possibly."
"Then I shall see you tonight. Please excuse me."
And with that, I was rushing away from him.
