Chapter 7

Yukai Bloodling

Sesshomaru and Ayoshi return to the village where Ah-Un looked sad by Rin's hut. Inuyasha stood outside and greeted them.

"You don't want to go in." He says. Ayoshi looks at Sesshomaru and they both go into the hut and Rin looks at them. She was barely breathing.

"Lord Sesshomaru, you saved her." Rin says cheerfully.

"You shouldn't speak." Sesshomaru says.

"May I speak to Ayoshi alone please?" Rin asks.

Kohaku and Sesshomaru nod and Jaken leaves the hut with the other guys follow Jaken.

"I don't know you, but I feel so terrible." Ayoshi says.

"I knew your mother. She spoke with me after Lord Sesshomaru left for a while. She was pregnant with you at the time." Rin says.

"You are so young; you shouldn't be dying." Ayoshi says.

"Yeah that's true. But you want to know what? With my death you'll get an opportunity that I could never have. Ayoshi, the string, it connected you two together through the bone eater's well. Your separation has made your love stronger. You had visions of him correct?" Rin says.

"My dreams. I told Kagome that." Ayoshi says.

"Yes I know. That was the last wish your mother had. When you came to the age you'll find the way back to your true love." Rin says.

"I wish I knew my parents." Ayoshi says. Rin smiles.

"Sesshomaru has a way of picking up orphans. You were an orphan and so was I. You don't even know the greatest thing your mother gave you do you?" Rin asks.

"What?" Ayoshi says.

"You'll figure it out. Ayoshi, I don't have much time left, promise me you will take care of him. Melt his frozen heart please. I've waited to see it melted, but I'm sure it will, but I won't be here to see it." She says and Ayoshi looks at Rin.

"I'll try my hardest." Ayoshi says. Rin smiles and she closes her eyes and Ayoshi gets tears in her eyes slowly as she hears Rin's heart slow to a complete stop. Ayoshi gasps and cries slowly and quietly at first then she sobs slowly. She hadn't known Rin, but she was horrible with death. First she'd lost her parents, then she could feel everyone's loss of Rin. She gets up and runs out of the hut. She runs towards the forest and ignores everyone.

'Death is horrible. It's not fair. She should have had longer. I should have been able to meet my parents!' Her inner thoughts jumble in her head as she runs not watching where she was going, but she misses trees and she runs into a clearing. She keeps running still crying.

Jaken follows Ayoshi on Ah-Un. He sees her in the air.

"Ah! Milady!" Jaken yells as he sees Ayoshi running towards a cliff. Ah-Un flies down towards her to stop her. She reaches the cliff, she runs towards it, running off the edge and she screams where her feet left ground and she falls face forward, but with her eyes closed. A flash of white jumps after her and grabs her and the flash slows revealing Sesshomaru had her in his arms. Her face was in his fluff.

"I've got you." He says slowly.

"I'm sorry. I come here and you lose Rin. It's not fair to anyone. I hate seeing people die. It's not fair." She says, "I don't want to die. I want to stay here and be safe. I don't want everyone to mourn my death like that." She was mumbling into the moko-moko fluff.

"No one will. I'll protect you. I swear I won't let you die. We'll get that demon to leave you alone then you can return to the future." He says.

"What if after you are done protecting me I don't want to leave?" She asks.

"You don't belong here. Your mother sent you to the future to protect you." He says.

"Right of course then when I go back I want you to destroy the well so no one else can come through." She says.

"That's up to the village people." Sesshomaru says. She looks at him and blushes. She sees that he's still carrying her.

"You know for a demon who hates half breeds, you sure are still carrying me." She says.

"You are... Tolerable let's just leave it at that." He says.

"Milady!!" Jaken says landing with Ah-Un.

"Oh Jaken, you are slow." Sesshomaru says, "Next time you fail to save Ayoshi, you are fired." Sesshomaru carries Ayoshi.

"He didn't threaten to kill me." Jaken says shocked. Jaken falls over on Ah-Un.

"What made you come and rescue me? I thought with me going to him would make you not care. Or did you come for some other reason?" She asks.

"The promise to your mother, that is it." He says and keeps carrying her. She blushes and looks at him as he stares ahead.

'I'm falling in love with him the more he protects me. But there is no way I can melt the ice especially since I'll be going back to the real world.' Her inner thoughts say.

Before they reach the village he puts her down.

"Stay here until I find information of where Jaufu went." Sesshomaru says.

"Right, Lord Sesshomaru thank you." She says.

"Jaken, stay with her." Sesshomaru says as he turns with a small smile that he didn't want anyone to see. It was a smile that meant he was happy. He has never smiled like that before. Could it be Ayoshi was rubbing off on him? He shakes the thought out of his head. He was a demon. He was gonna protect her, but that was it.

{MEANWHILE}

"I can't believe she was able to blow my arm off." Jaufu says.

"Well believe it." Akane says healing his arm as much as she could.

"She's stronger than I thought. I have to make her mine." Jaufu says.

"She's in love with Sesshomaru." Akashi says.

"It seems we have tokill Sesshomaru to get to her. His head would be wonderful to add to mycollection." Jaufu says and laughs evilly.d
